These have been great from keeping the cats from stomping on our more sensitive plants...and has saved me from constantly having to buy replacements.

These are just what I needed for my kitchen counter to keep my cat from chewing on my plants. My poor plants kept being destroyed. Luckily not hurting the cat. The cages are lightweight, I can make them pretty small to save as much space as possible on the counter, and I can move them around to protect different plants or block off different areas. The cat is not allowed on the counter but I don't think he respects my rules a whole lot. Not when there are tasty(?) spider plants to gnaw.My only sadness with these cages is that once you do the zip tie, the size is set. I can't adjust if needed.

Update: Now that I've used all of these (and will be ordering more,) I can say that the lighter gauge is not a problem, and that the flexibility to have 3 pieces, instead of 2, to make the enclosure can be a benefit. The quality seems fine; after a season we will know for sure.Original: These look okay, and will work. However they are a lighter gauge and less (apparent) quality on the coating of the wire compared to the '5 Pack Plant Protector from Animals' from Alphatool. In case you are comparing the two, they should both work, but they are not the same.

Durable, easy to assemble, perfect for protecting sapling tree trunks

As soon as I reached into the bag containing the curved cage pieces, my finger caught a sharp piece of metal. Many of the welds on the corners are also broken, and the grid itself doesn't line up on every piece. This is disappointing considering the cost of the set. The only thing that I would describe as "high quality" is the ground stakes, which there are plenty of. There are also a LOT of zip ties.It was easy to put the pieces together and I like that they can be stacked for higher protection. Making your plant protector much taller than your plant can help prevent deer from sticking their faces into the opening. I also like that they're round instead of square as I used most of these inside planter pots, which are usually round.

For some reason, it’s hard to find a tall enough pole trellis to grow vines on poles. I have a carport held up by round metal poles, and they’re very hard to drill into. All I had to do was open them up and wrap them around the poles. For a little extra stability, I zip tied them to each other with the supplied zip ties. The metal is very bendable, but I’m not growing heavy vines like muscadines or wisteria, just an apple gourd vine. The gourds didn’t grow this year, but I’m still confident that if they did, these would still hold their weight. My next project will be to wrap them around the trunks of my apple trees to protect the trunks from deer.

I've tried everything to keep the rabbits from eating my flowers, from liquid fence to red pepper flakes to other types of portable fencing. Nothing worked long term and the rabbits would eventually return and destroy all the progress and growth made. I tried these and within two days, I was buy another set. Something that actually works, is low maintenance, and can be used every year. They may look a little silly on the small flowers but I don't care - at least they are safe and can grow. The product is a little on the expensive side for only five cages and I'd love to buy more if I could.

Quality went down. The welds break easily and then they fall apart. Deer easily break them. The last batch I got the welds were popping off just taking them out of box. Too cheaply made and I will stop buying.
