I'm a carpenter and woodworker by trade. While I used mechanical pencils in my workshop and for fine work, out in the field I still used the square carpenters pencils. Partially because I would lose them all the time. The first day I used these I decided I'll never go back to the square ones. There are 3 reasons I wanted to ditch the square ones. They are cheap and the leads constantly break. They require constant sharpening if your doing anything but rough in work. I lose them constantly. Seriously I had to have 3-4 pencils handy all the time so I wouldn't have to search for them. These are easy to keep sharp and if you're doing rough in work there isn't a need to. The built in sharpener means at anytime you can shave then to a super fine out. The build quality is solid and they just feel good in my hands. Plus they have a clip to hang on my shirt if in a pocket. No longer searching for my pencil!

Great quality. The variety of colors are great for marking on surfaces that vary in color.

You get a lot for the money. I bought for mostly the color lead versions. More than enough for my woodworking, may not buy any future refills. As I use 2mm and standard mechanical pencil also. So more using to supplement my wood markers. I suspect lead quality is not serious artist desirable if using for fine art. But solid set for hobby use.

Decent for price. Larger mechanical pencils are a bit flimsy and cheap plastic. One cracked when it fell off work table. Shattered really upon impact 3’ off the ground.

Great pencil set and marking. Center punch does a good job as well. Use it alot.
