Good LED compatible dimmer & rocker switch
This is an effective switch at a good price. Don't be put off by the large number of Vine reviews by users with no skin in the game! I bought this dimmer/rocker switch to control 12 x 6w dimmable LED downlights and separately switch kitchen under cabinet task lighting on & off. A 25mm deep plaster or surface mounted patress box is needed - or a spacer. Dimming action is smooth with no flicker or buzzing. The dimmer knob is pushed to turn on/off at any light level. The switch itself arrived fully assembled with comprehensive wiring instructions in clear english. A helpline email address is provided - I haven't had to use it. Not a slim and sleek switchplate, but I'm very happy with it.

Good combo switch, dimmer module doesn't protrude too much!
Having enough space in the back box behind a light switch to accommodate a dimming module can be a challenge in any house, space can be tight with the incoming cable(s) in the way. In our case it's even worse, we've recently moved into a brand-new house, and electrical installations are now switching from doing the 'loop in' of the permanently live feed to the next light in the circuit (plus the neutral too) FROM the ceiling rose TO the light switch. That means all those cables we're used to seeing terminated inside a ceiling rose now appear in the light switch back box instead! This does make life much easier when you're replacing a ceiling rose with a decorative light fitting - no more fiddly cables to join together with terminal blocks and stuff up into the ceiling! - but having all the cables inside the light switch back box is a nightmare when trying to fit a dimmer module inside. Sure, you can buy spacers to fit behind the switch and create more space inside the box, but we'd prefer our light switches to look elegant on the wall without these. We needed a combo dimmer / toggle switch for a couple of rooms in our home, and ordered a couple of options from Amazon including this one to take a look at. We're pleased to report that for this product the dimmer module protrudes only 19mm beyond the back edge of the faceplate, this being what you'll need to accommodate inside the back box - and so for us, this is a keeper! Contrast this with the other switch we ordered to take a look at, "Lieber Silk White Dimmer and Rocker Wall Light Switch Combo" (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Trailing-suitable-Incandescent-Soft-Start-Technology/dp/B08YFGFPD4). Maybe it has more superior dimming technology, I don't know, but its dimmer module protrudes a whopping 29mm beyond the rear of the faceplate! So the 'Belns Melns' is the one for us - we like too that it has a minimum dimming setting on the back!

Lethal wiring diagram!! Cheap product with poor functional description.
I bought this switch because I needed to know if the hard-wired lamp that is not visible from where the light switch is located was on or off. So the intention was to use the switch to turn the lamp on or off. But I then found that the rotary dimmer also has the push on push off function? Therefore I had no idea if the remotely (outside) light was on or off? I then looked at the wiring diagram which is just damn right dangerous!! since it shows that you should wire the switch directly across the mains supply and NOT in series as it should be. This will of course result in damage to your installation which will vary from blowing a fuse through to potential fire and/or death!!

Perfect replacement for two switch fitting
Bought to replace existing two switch ditting covering external light and indoor light so can now dim light in hallway when needed. It was difficult to find a combo with just one switch and a dimmer so perfect for what I needed. Only thing was existing switch box in wall was too shallow somhad to get a small spacer from SCREWFIX to fit it in place. Works well now fitted so very pleased

Not bad, could be a bit firmer.
Overall it’s a good product. However the wiring slots could be more firm. Also to note you will need a deeper back box. I suggest 35mm deep
