Super wake-up alarm clock.
I am hearing impaired and needed an alarm that could definately wake me. This one has 1. An extremely loud sonic alarm. 2. A really violent, vibrating attachment and, 3. Two very bright, flashing LED lights. These can be used all together or in different combinations. The Vibrating attachment is a round thickish disk, a couple of inches across, with a long wire which connects to the clock. I used this the first night, under my pillow and am sure that nobody would be able to sleep on, once it activates. It is so strong that I vowed I would only ever use it under my matress in the future. . The next night I tried the sonic alarm and the light. One's very loud and the other is blinding. I have found that the flahing lights are enough to wake me (even if I have my back to the clock when it goes off). When trying to find the right button to switch it off, I have to hold one hand in front of the flashing lights while the other fumbles for the off switch. Is it possible that such bright flashes could make me visually impaired too (Ha, Ha)? I think one would have to be in a coma to be unaffected by this appliance. Not to be forgotten is the time display - The figures are bright red and very large, so no problem seeing what the time is if you wake up during the night.

LOUD, PROUD, BEST ALARM EVER!!!
amazing wakes me up every morning! the only alarm able to do this and i have had this alarm for well over a month now i think. also helps with my sleep (kind of!) i sleep 4 hours a night now, but at least i am waking up in time for work etc. i place the alarm away from my bed so i have to get out to answer it so i don't just fall asleep again! i put the vibrator in a plastic tub/bowl and that also helps make extra noise. the flashing strobe is good but being daylight every morning i don't actually know how well it would work! there is 4 preset alarms, and the back light is adjustable. its mains powered, i really like it. No other alarm can compete with the amazing-ness of this beast! they need to make more alarms as loud as this one! this was a miracle find at the time if you struggle with waking up in the morning or getting out of bed, and like me tried everything, including multiple alarms, gentle alarms, etc this will get you up! i struggled all my life waking up and i have finally found this beauty!

Simple operation and will wake you up
I like this because it doesn't have any confusing features that would lead to it not going off. It has one single alarm time when it goes off, it is simple to set and very loud. My only worry is the volume knob on the side for the alarm, if someone accidentally turned it down. So be sure to check that. It has a vibrating device that goes under the pillow AND a strobe light AND a loud alarm. And it is good quality construction, strong and durable.

Shaker broke after 18months
Advertised 2 year warranty inexistent. Amazon refer you to the manufacturer, manufacturer refer you to seller. Amazon are the worst! Keeping you in a clicking paradox unable to speak to human to resolve the issue to either give a replacement or repair.

Brilliant and you can use just the shaker
Wow you're not going to sleep through this alarm. No more sleeping in hearing aids and losing them during the night. Yesterday I woke before the alarm and was downstairs in the kitchen the other side of the house and boy did it make me jump when it went off. It has a shaker that goes under, your pillow, a light that flashes and a very loud alarm. Perhaps you can turn it down, I haven't looked, you can turn the light brightness up and down. I especially like that you can choose which one(s) to go off. Mostly I use just the shaker but if its really important I don't oversleep I use shaker and alarm. I sleep better now that I don't worry about not hearing the alarm and being late. I had a different brand but similar alarm before, that I used to sleep through.

Excellent but could confuse those with memory imparment etc.
I bought this Alarm Clock as I was no longer hearing my old standard one with the result that my wife was being woken and then having to wake me. Excellent clock with one DOWNSIDE resulting in 4 stars rather than the 5 it otherwise deserves. Before coming to that, it has a large variable brightness display, a vibrator disc which you place under your pillow to wake you and no one else, (saves the marriage!!) a bright flashing light and a variable volume alarm tone, very loud at the maximum setting. You can choose to use all options together or only one or two. Set the volume on the lower side to start with. If you start at the maximum you may well find yourself awake and clinging to the bedroom ceiling by your finger nails!! DOWNSIDE - for some reason the screen has imprinted on the bottom right hand corner - 'PM'. Thus, for example, you wake at 7 AM but the clock disconcertingly says 7 PM. I have no memory problems but have to tell myself to disbelieve my eyes and hold on to the fact that it is actually morning, despite it being dark in the winter time. I think this could cause confusion to some unfortunate person who have early Dementia or a similar affliction. I don't know what purpose it serves. If you are even severely deaf this item should waken you, plus your neighbourhood.

Best alarm for deep sleepers
This alarm is the holy grail (the vibrating pad specifically) The vibrating pad is all i use and this wakes me up without fail, each morning without disturbing a whole household. if your a university student or just someone who wants to be independent, this is a must. The audio alarm is so ridiculously loud im sure it will be useful but all i use is the vibration and flashing light option. The design is great big and clear screen simple display nothing too fancy. the main unit is not the slimmest and had a bit of a bump around the back, so it does not look the most minimalist. the buttons are simple and intuitive to use one you have familiarised yourself with them. the cable lengths are ample so nothing much to worry about can easily get the vibration pad placed where needed. After nearly 5 years using this alarm. it still works perfect as day 1. the only issue that has come over time is the buttons have become more softer and less responsive to take a bit more pressure.(buttons still work )
