Hours of fun for cats and kittens
My (super fussy about toys) cat Maisie LOVES this little toy. The mouse is quiet when it moves, is fast, easily manoeuverable and (my back is thankful) not as labour intensive as her other favourite pastime (me skimming curtain rings across the floor, which she has yet to learn how to retrieve). The mouse is sturdy and has survived several 'attacks' and the battery has been going since Christmas morning - with around an hours use every day with no sign of slowing down. The ONLY gripe I have is that the range of the remote could be slightly longer - it is about 1metre i think - it would be great if it was a couple of metres so i don't have to move with the toy when Maisie hides ready to pounce and i could sneak the mouse up on her.Forget cheaper options - they are loud and break easily (i speak from experience) - this little gem is worth every penny.

It's an OK cat toy provided you have hard flooring and a small room1
It doesn't work on a carpet but does work on a hard floor but we found we had to walk around after it to keep the mouse connected to the transmitter. The cats (kittens) pretty much lost interest in it after about five minutes. We waited a few days and re-introduced the mouse with pretty much the same result. They were very keen to play with it at first but it kept meeting a carpet or getting out of range.

Good toy but distance between remote and mouse to operate device is not practical
The cat loves this toy so not a bad purchase. You do need to be stood right next to the mouse with the remote control in order for it to work which requires a lot of effort. Overall a little pricey for what you get but the cat loves it so it was worthwhile.

Got a cat? ..
Hex Bug toys are 'so last year' for kids and honestly, thank goodness! How many of us have had a stray Hex Bug bbbbzzzzggghhssszzzzzing til the battery died, stuck in some impossible to get to space? But, these re-imagined Hex Bugs are finally here for their true purpose in life - to allow us to amuse our cats! This one is great fun! Speedy and so far the battery is lasting.Highly recommended!

Didn't Work!!
This had the potential to be a great toy for our cat who loves to chase. It worked periodically for about 2 seconds at a time. So we changed the batteries. Didn't make a bit of difference. The remote didn't work on it at all - waste of money! Duly returned. Awaiting refund!

Yes I’d recommend it. Kitten loves it
Bought this for the kitten at Xmas. It’s still going strong. He loves it and often picks up his ‘kill’ and proudly trots off to toy with it. Wheels get stuck every now and then but it’s just the fluff from the floor and easily pulled out - cleaner floors and it won’t happen! It’s a nice addition to his toys

Too short range, too hard to control, too noisy
Essentially this is just not good enough, the cats don't like the noise it makes on a hard floor, and it will only run on a hard floor.Reliable range is about 5 feet and the control is infra red so needs to be pointed directly at the mouse. If the cat gets between you and the mouse you have no signal to make it move.Turning seems random, a short press of the tur ing button can turn the mouse 90 degrees or 360 degrees, randomly, which makes control very difficult. On the positive side it seems quite durable, but my cats haven't really attacked it seriously.

Great!
Brilliant, brings 10mins or so a day of exercise for a chubby cat. Good battery life.
