Purchased this for canning with a relatively large (7 quart jar capacity) aluminum pressure cooker that no longer works on my stove (switched to induction). Took 30 seconds to assemble. Worked like a charm. Flame is steady with good adjustability and plenty of heat output. Frame is sturdy. Cast iron is naturally brittle so having the bottom framed with crossbars (rather than free-standing legs like some other units) offers additional protection to the burner when storing. Functionally, it's 5 stars (after initial use; will edit post if longevity becomes an issue). Enhancements to make it perfect: 1) integrated piezo igniter and 2) engineered to store more compactly. The main point of a unit like this (IMHO) is portability. The cast iron burner unit extends several inches from the frame and after connecting the gas line, the entire unit is clunky to store. I'm sure the same applies to other units, but seems like it should be possible to engineer so that it collapses cleanly into a cube.

I really liked this burner. I used it for cooking with my wok. It has a cheap regulator though, it broke and I can no longer control the flame. Replacement regulator was more than the burner new.

This thing really cranks out the heat. I especially like it for use with my wok and for deep frying fish (no odors inside the house) . It would work really well for use with a turkey fryer or to brew beer. A wind screen would be helpful. I thought the hose connection point might be flimsy but it's held up for a year now.

I really dig this little burner. It is small and easy to move around, well it is pretty sturdy and I'm a good sized guy. It feels super sturdy when it is on the ground, way sturdier than those old school turkey burner. My favorite feature is that it doesn't have a shut off timer!

This burner is great for those weekend getaways. It is well made and works great for cooking outside. The flame is adjustable from mild to burn your face off so watch out. I find it to be very stable and think it will be something I will be able to use a long time.
