Does this cable specifically support PPS charging?

It does "support" PPS charging in that it connects the device you are charging to the PPS charger. You will need a PPS charger... it is just electricity. This cable would be overkill for that use case. This is would primarily be used for data transfer. My use case is for a MacBook Pro charging and video simultaneously.

Does this work with Apple m1?

Yes, but why wouldn't you just buy this company's (Cable Matters) USB4 version and save yourself $9? The Apple M1 has Thunderbolt/USB4 port, where it uses Thunderbolt 3 specs, and the USB4 Cable Matters cable is compatible with Both T3 and T4 while being a USB4 cable.
