Can you switch colors without changing lens from red to green or to any color?

No. You must unscrew the lens head, unscrew the LED color module and replace it with a new LED color module then screw the lens head back on. It takes me approximately 1 minute to make the color swap. But the flashlight is fantastic and I still feel it is worth the money. The strong zoomable beam is amazing in any color.

How well does the scope mount hold the light after shooting? Does the recoil throw off the lights point of aim?

Depends on the caliber of rifle. I use this light on 5.56, 300 blackout and my 308 no problems so far. For rapid shooting it holds up. For a bolt action so far so good. I primarily use it hog hunts will say that if you are using a high power scope the light and scope will need to be adjusted for distance. Short range works great long range past 75 yrd u gonna want to play with it and little to find target. Hope this helps. Good hunting.

The case it comes in and the description on Amazon contradict what colored light is used for what animal. Please clarify. Thanks

Red is good for any animal, but you lose definition and distance - but it gives the best eye shine. Green is good for hogs, you get better definition, brighter light, more distance still eye shines - but it casts shadows, and isn't quite as good for predators. Red is also easier on your night vision, green is ok but your eyes will still adjust some. White is ... well, we all know what white is and does... Everything sees it, and it effects your own night vision.
