Marshall: Master in sound quality. Crystal clear voice and ulimate bass worth its price tag. Simply love it.

Update after 3 months: The speaker stopped working after 3 months. I searched for Marshall service centers but could not find any. I contacted Amazon customer care and they gave me 2 phone numbers. I also got one additional number by looking up on inyernet. All three were not useful. After extensive research, I found out that Marshall has outsourced their service to Luxury Personified. I contacted them and they picked up the speaker from my home address. Within a week they delivered a replacement unit. The replacement unit came in a box with booklets and power cable, I can make out that it was not a new unit. Maybe it was a refurbished unit. So basically to save customer time from repairs, they replace your unit with another one they had already repaired. The unit i received was working perfectly fine. I am satisfied with overall service. I was hoping for a new unit but that expectation is may be too much. This one is as good as new so I am keeping my rating on the speaker. Hope this one doesn't malfunction. Original review: This is the most premium and best sounding speaker money can buy. The sound is crystal clear and the base is really heavy which can be adjusted. Despite its big size (not so big), this is still a personal speaker and not a party boom box. Although it would still work in the latter scenario. The design, size, premium look and feel, volume knobs and power on/off switch...everything is excellent. Anywhere you put it...it looks good. The app is simple and easy to use. The speaker goes to standby mode when not in use for 10-15 minutes which is good for power saving, however when you need it you need to reconnect again. With HDMI arc input, you can also connect it to your TV to get a cinematic sound. The volume increase is exponential instead of linear. If you are playing a song at vol 3 and it seems low..vol 4 might be louder than you expect. I like bose too but bose looks really old and boring. Sonos looked overpriced to me. For sound comparison, go to a store to choose the right one for yourself. All the three brand should be available on croma. If you want to save money and don't want HDMI capability, you can go for Woburn 2 at big discount (offline stores). But you should know that the sound quality is better on woburn 3 than 2. The box that it comes in is also attractive and you wouldn't want to throw it away.

Excellent sound quality

First of all, these are not value for money by any stretch of imagination. You could get a 3 times more powerful soundbar which can give you a great experience in movie watching. And that was actually the point of considering and purchasing them.......I did not want them for watching movie. If you are a music lover and can listen to different types of music for long hours, this is the perfect speaker to give you a great experience. In the category, I believe this is the most powerful speaker you could get for your money if you take aside the soundbars. However, I will highly recommend going to local stores for experiencing the sound and comparing with others in similar price range. Although the experience will not be the same as you would get in your home (unless the demonstration is in a small room/cabin) but you will be able to make an estimate of treble and bass this speaker system can produce. I took multiple demonstration and usually the execs were cranking the treble so high that the sound initially seems like cranking. But this is very powerful speaker and on their max bass/treble/volume level they make too much sound for entire house. As per my experience so far, the treble is a bit more lively than what it should be especially for vocals in Hindi/Punjabi songs I listened on it. But English (pop/jazz or any other genre) will sound alright probably because of superior sound engineering. The treble is so clear and have detail that even if you don't like Indian classical, you would now because of the sound perfection these speakers have. On the bass, I think they are the best sounding in their category irrespective of price range. The bass has more depth and detail which you could expect in a bigger sound system (I have Samsung Q990b soundbar for comparison). So if you are choosing the volume wisely, then you will definitely get deep bass thump and vibrations. And as they also support HDMI ARC, I also ended up connecting them with the tv in my bedroom :) The experience is satisfying for casual movie/series watching as treble has more than enough width and detail for hearing very small details in the movie. The cons:- 1) Obviously the price. Too high for any type of sound quality a speaker could offer. 2) The Bluetooth codec for the time being is still SBC. The company otherwise promise that Bluetooth LE Audio codec will be supported once that is "launched". When that will happen is still unknown and you would probably have many more speakers supporting that codec once available. I would have liked LDAC for the sound quality they offer. 3) In my experience they sound better with iPad Air 4th gen compared to my Samsung Fold 4. I was using Apple music on both devices and similar streaming quality (lossless). So device specific sound quality is not a good pretext for getting good experience hence kept this as a con. These should have sounded same on both the devices.

It's great, best in its category

You need to hear it to feel it. Crystal clear clarity, thumping bass, excellent treble, play any song you will hear new instruments in songs you have never heard before. Each increment in volume literally gives you the increased punch. Impossible to play at even 80 percent volume in home setting, its so loud and clear and punchy. Just go for it. There is nothing like it .Marshall Woburn III is the undisputed King of sound in this price bracket

Sono un grande musicofilo, chitarrista e sostenitore dell’ascolto di Hi-Fi Da tempo cercavo una soluzione “plug and play”, da affiancare al mio impianto alta fedeltà, ottimizzata per garantire un’esperienza di ascolto pro per riprodurre i file digitali in basso rapporto di compressione. Ho posseduto (e talvolta rivenduto) quasi una decina di casse bluetooth di fascia alta, alla ricerca del sistema definitivo. Sapevo di queste casse Marshall e (da chitarrista), da circa vent’anni utilizzo gli amplificatori valvolari di questo brand, con soddisfazione. Dopo aver comparato e scartato alcune tra le opzioni più interessanti proposte dalla concorrenza, ho deciso di mettere alla prova la punta di diamante della produzione; il modello più completo e performante in termini di fedeltà e potenza sonora: il WOBURN III Giunto alla sua terza generazione, questa cassa si presenta in linea con il design iconico che ha sempre contraddistinto l’azienda britannica: tolex nero, griglia in tessuto grigia e logo centrale. Tutti i materiali sono riciclabili con un’alta percentuale - aspetto “Green friendly” sempre apprezzato! La cassa si mostra essenziale e priva di orpelli. Sulla porzione superiore troviamo i controlli “analogici”: la manopola del volume + due manopole di equalizzazione - di grande effetto la levetta di accensione in stile aeronautico, tipicamente inglese! Sul lato sinistro troviamo la possibilità di selezionare le sorgenti input (ben quattro!). L’utilizzo è quanto di più immediato si possa immaginare; é sufficiente collegare il cavo di alimentazione e procedere con la rapida configurazione, tramite l’app dedicata* WOBURN III e’ pronto! Ora, il momento più atteso da ogni amante dell’alta fedeltà: il suono* Non elencherò le informazioni relative all’impianto diffusore (le potete trovare ovunque!) - mi limiterò a riferirvi il mio punto di vista su questo prodotto, basandomi su tre aspetti fondamentali: 1 - Qualità audio 2 - Potenza sonora 3 - Esperienza di ascolto 1 - Essendo abituato ad ascoltare i miei vinili su un impianto Hi-Fi concepito e strutturato negli anni, non mi sarei mai accontentato della gamma sonora espressa dalla stragrande maggioranza delle casse audio. Premesso il fatto che la qualità di file MP3 è assai limitata per un ascolto da audiofili, ho collegato il mio lettore digitale pro con il cavo jack (non fornito nella confezione) per riprodurre file audio di qualità superiore. Ascoltando brani rock storici come Stairway to Heaven o Free Bird si apprezza la grande precisione del tweeter, sostenuto da un diffusore delle medie ed il potente Woofer capace di rendere viva ogni nota. La voce è più che mai brillante è tridimensionale - la gamma di frequenze (35-20kHz) si avvicina a quelle espresse da un impianto di livello medio. Ovviamente, dovete valutare il rapporto Q/P a favore del WOBURN; considerato il prezzo, la compattezza del sistema e la facilità d’uso non c’è dubbio sul suo valore e la qualità restituita è più che soddisfacente! 2 - Riguardo la potenza e la pressione sonora, posso garantirvi che 150w sono abbastanza per riempire una stanza di ben oltre 50/70m2 - La risposta sulle basse e’ impressionante per un sistema così “piccolo” e lavorando dí equalizzazione è possibile modellare il suono fino a ottenere il miglior compromesso, in base al genere musicale. Personalmente, amo ascoltare brani rock e blues a volumi piuttosto alti, in modo da poter assaporare la vibrazione delle basse e delle medie, come fossi ad un concerto! Se non vivete in appartamento e non avete problemi di vicinato, WOBURN saprà soddisfarvi! Ascoltate Jump di Van Halen, Sloe Gin di Bonamassa o Crossfire di Stevie Ray Vaughn e vi ritroverete avvolti da un suono caldo e mai stridulo (nemmeno a volume massimo!). Inoltre, i tre diffusori separati renderanno la risposta timbrica sempre bilanciata e mai soffocata, come accade con impianti più piccoli o con coni condivisi. 3 - infine, l’esperienza complessiva ottenuta e’ molto simile a quella di un buon impianto Hi-Fi* Non è la stessa cosa, intendiamoci: avete una minor risposta di frequenza, soprattutto sulle basse e sulle medie. Inoltre, il suono proveniente da un’unica direzione sarà comunque limitato rispetto a un sistema multi diffusore in tutta la stanza. Tuttavia, come affermato in precedenza, WOBURN è semplice e completo! Nessun altro impianto audio integrato saprà offrirvi un suono di questa chiarezza e definizione unito ad un livello di potenza così importante, con una facilità di utilizzo a prova di bambino. Marshall ha saputo proporre un prodotto capace di elevare la qualità (scarsa) di un MP3, permettendo a tutti di accedere a un’esperienza di ascolto premium. Se a questo aggiungiamo la possibilità di collegarlo alla tv di casa e sfruttarlo come sistema audio home theater, allora vi renderete meglio conto di quanto la pressione sonora di una cassa di queste dimensioni possa fare la differenza. Conclusioni: Marshall WOBURN III merita il primo posto come cassa Bluetooth e sistema di riproduzione audio integrato. E’ bellissimo, costruito bene e pure ecosostenibile. Dal punto di vista della qualità audio saprà soddisfare anche i palati più esigenti, aggiunge grandi quel pizzico di calore tipico della casa britannica. Infine, la potenza sonora Vi permetterà di ascoltare la musica come non avete fatto mai (a patto di abitare da soli :)) Usato come Home Theater enfatizza l’esperienza cinematografica e (salvo stanze molto grandi) non risentirete della mancanza di più diffusori posizionati ai bordi della stanza. Desidero consigliarlo a tutti coloro i quali cercassero una cassa audio definitiva, senza compromessi. Un sistema di ascolto facile da utilizzare e con la possibilità di riprodurre anche file in bassa qualità migliorandoli, per effetto dei tre coni dedicati. Riguardo ai possibili difetti, ritengo questo prodotto molto vicino all’eccellenza. Forse, alcuni lamenteranno la mancanza di comandi vocali o integrazione con sistemi di controllo Smart, ma sono funzioni di cui possiamo (anche) fare a meno in virtù di una qualità di ascolto di classe top. Empezando por la calidad de sonido, sólo puedo decir cosas buenas. Es cierto que comparándolo con su antecesor, el Woburn III reduce automáticamente los graves cuando aumentas el volumen para evitar distorsiones. El anterior (Woburn II) no lo hacía y si subías en exceso el volumen, los graves terminaban distorsionando. Por el resto, muy buena calidad de sonido y con un buen nivel de volumen. Lo que me pareció también excelente es la conectividad ya que contamos con opciones como; bluetooth, entrada auxiliar, RCA e incluso HDMI para conectar nuestra TV. También me gustó el poder activar el modo noche, a través de la aplicación, que reduce los sonidos fuertes cuanto lo usas conectado a la TV mediante HDMI. En cuanto el diseño, particularmente me parece muy bonito. Además de un simple altavoz, puede ser un objeto de decoración. Lo que menos me gustó es el elevado peso y tamaño que tiene. Pero al ser diseñado para se colocado en una posición "fija" no habría mayor problema. En cuanto al precio, pues bueno, económico no es... Pero asumible con todo lo que nos ofrece.
