Is this jacket really waterproof?

Yes it is. I've been out in it in the pouring rain and stayed warm and dry.

Can you remove the fur collar as well as the trim on the hood

No the fur collar can't be removed but the trim on the hood can... Its a fabulous coat.. Its very cosy and warm in cold weather

Is this a good coat for winter. Is it warm?

This is a lovely warm and cosy coat and keeps a cold wind and snow or rain off the face with the hood up

Is this really waterproof in a heavy downpour?

I'm not quite sure as I've not worn it yet in a heavy downpour
