Pacific Foods Organic Chicken and Wild Rice Soup, 16.3 oz Can

The Pacific Foods Organic Chicken and Wild Rice Soup is really good! My doctor said I needed to watch my sodium, so I investigated some online soups as they are really good this time of year. I have tried other soups in this brand (the tomato) so I had confidence this would be good too. This was the low sodium version and it felt quite hearty and tasty. I did not see any difference at all with the low sodium version. It had a lot of flavor and was loaded with vegetables, chicken and wild rice. Nice to know there are some really good tasting low sodium soups out there-you won't feel deprived at all!

This soup is organic and lower in sodium than most. Has a great homemade taste. Good for a warm snack on a cold day. You will want to stock up on this product.

Like many reviewers have stated, "this is the best canned chicken soup ever." OK, yes, it's also salty. I'm merely stating the obvious. There is a quick fix for that, too. I learned this from a cook. It does take time to correct but worth it in the end. This fix is "PER CAN". PEEL ONE SMALL POTATO. SLICE OFF ABOUT 3" SAVING THE REST OF THE POTATO FOR FUTURE USE. CUT THE 3" SLICE OF POTATO INTO CUBES. MIX THOSE CUBES INTO A SMALL NON-STICK POT WITH A LID ALONG WITH THE SOUP PLUS 1/4 CUP OF WATER OR NO SALT CHICKEN OR NO SALT VEGETABLE BROTH. PLACE LID ON POT AND BRING TO A QUICK BOIL. REDUCE HEAT TO "SIMMER" FOR APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES. AFTER 30 MINUTES, TURN OFF HEAT. THE POTATOES WILL ABSORB THE SALT. WHEN SOUP HAS SUFFICIENTLY COOLED, TASTE TEST THE BROTH. REMOVE THE CUBED POTATOES AND SET ASIDE OR LEAVE THEM IN YOUR SOUP AND ENJOY. Adjust the amount of potatoes to your liking.

Great soup. Organic. Low sodium for elderly parent on low sodium diet. Could not find this; the only low sodium flavor at local grocery stores so had to order via Amazon Sorry, cannot find where on Amazon to voice aggravation on condition received 4 out of 6 cans dented. Will have to throw at least one away as not sure if dent compromised interior of the can. Not worth returning or replacing with a other dented can. Lately, any canned item ordered from Amazon whether human or pet food is almost guaranteed to arrive dented and sometimes leaking.

This is a flavorful soup. Generous amount of rice and chicken. Needs salt and pepper to taste and it is very good especially on a cold day or when fighting a cold. I add some peas for extra veges.

Plentiful rice, tasted very good!
