Great Product ~ Great Value
This was a life saver for me. I am a 62 year old female who had a total knee replacement done 9 weeks ago. I was not sent home with nor was it even suggested to me by my orthopedic surgeon to use a cryocuff. My husband's PC actually suggested it 3 weeks post my surgery. I was have tremendous swelling and pain. This works extremely well and is easy to use. I even take it in the car when riding any distance and use it. We freeze small soda bottles and put those in with the water rather than use ice cubes. It keeps the water very cold much longer. I highly recommend this product and the price is unbelievable.

Works as described. For the price it’s a no brainer for post op knee surgery
Simple and easy to use. Attach hose to jug, fill water to the line, add ice to the top, and put the insulator disc over the ice. While the jug is sitting for a few minutes, wrap pad around your knee. When your nice and comfortable, plug the hose into the pad, lift up the lid nozzle, and pick the jug up at least 15” to fill the pad. Count to 30 and feel the ice cold goodness wrap around your knee. Close the lid nozzle, put down the jug, and unplug the pad. It stays really cold for a good while, but if you feel like you need it colder attach the hose to the pad and put the jug in the floor. Open the lid nozzle and push “old” water out of the pad back into the jug. You’ll feel the pad deflate. Then lift the jug 15” and count to the 30 while the cold water shocks your knee. It’s simple and works well. I was skeptical at first because the parts sure as hell don’t cost much to make. But considering what a motorized machine costs I would say this thing is worth it. My orthopedic instructed 20 minutes of icing every 1-2 hours. Filling the pad once lasts a lot longer than 20 minutes. I would buy it again if I had to.

Cyro Cuff Cold Therapy works!
Purchased Cryo Cuff Cold Therapy on the advice of two co-workers who both had knee replacements and highly recommended it for comfort, pain relief, and decreasing swelling. My husband was scheduled for knee replacement also so I decided to try it. Excellent. Easy to use. Comfortable on (so says my husband). When filled, it is still fairly light to lift and move around. No leakage. Ice stayed in unit about 14 hours, so I replenished it once daily. He used about two weeks post-op before retiring it. Would recommend to anyone.

Mostly good!
This cooler does a nice job of putting cold pressure all around the knee. It is a very simple device but works well. The only negative is that the emptying of the water is a little bit of a hassle. If you are willing to take a minute extra, it does a better job of icing than the best ice packs I have found.

Excellent for post knee surgery, trauma, pain, sprains, etc.
Excellent for knee pain, trauma, post surgery, etc. I used this several years ago recovering from torn ligaments. Ordered this to use post total knee replacement. Before this arrived, we were constantly changing out ice packs and had gone through nearly two bags of ice in less than 1 week. Measure your thigh at about 4-6" above your knee cap. The large fit perfectly. My thigh measured 24" and this was after a lot of swelling was reduced. You could use this without wrapping around the area. The wrap allows for cooling of most of the knee area. Yes, the back is not cooled. We use flat ice packs for this. The compression from the ice water filled packs have also helped with the pain and the swelling. Yes, you will have to 'recycle' the cold water. However, it is easy to do and less work for your caretaker to constantly refill ice packs. I remove this for physical therapy and walking as it does 'weigh, on your leg and restricts movement. At night, you will most likely refill this several times. Again, it is easier to do this than have a family member changing ice packs. I like that the cuff is adjustable. If I want more compression, I will wear the wrap a bit more snug. If I am resting, then I keep it loose. NOTE: before filling the wrap with water, loosely fit around the knee area. Once the after fills the wrap, this will compress the area significantly. You will be able to readjust once filled to a more comfortable level. I did not have any 'leaks' as one other reviewer noted. Yes, when disconnecting the unit there is some water that does leak from the connection. That is to be expected. Once you have purchased the cooler and hose, you will be able to use this for other wraps offered by Aircast (ankle, etc.) if you need. FYI, I was not compensated for this review. This is all based on my experiences with the system.

Simple and easy
Simple, easy and basic. Now if I would have read the description I would have read that it’s gravity fed. Very simple & basic. Like the old cars, less electronics less possible things to break. So no electronics and no plugging into outlet, gravity fed. My only thing is that I get hot very quick so the pouch gets warm quickly so I need to continuously change out water in bag. Attach hose, bleed bag, shake cooler, raise cooler above attached bag, fill bag, detach hose and relax. I’m 50 and semi strong and can do this by myself, after someone helps me initially with wrapping my leg with bag. I change out the water in bag every 15-20 minutes. But I do it. If too much for you to your not able to lift cooler above your knee then by the one that you plug in and regulates the temp. Bit of nuisance but works perfectly and no leaks.

Very good for the knee
Very good for the knee. Nice compression. Holds cold tempurature extremely well. Had it filled according to instructions at 5pm. Opened it roughly next day at 10 am. Ice was gone but it was still ice cold. Amazing product although: It doesnt ice the back area of the knee I need to ice the knee cap area and this product has a hole for it in order to bend, cant really blame it I suppose Biggest issue: both valves are starting to leak water when disconnected. First day of use, I was actually expecting it to leak when I disconnect but to my surprise it didnt. Second day it leaked a little bit from the tubing valve. Third day it is leaking from both knee pad and tubing valve a lot.

I purchase this item to use on my knee but had to return it because it was not fit for purpose. It did not cover the whole of my knee, all the way around.
