The wand format of vibrator is probably the most famous these days. The Hitachi magic wand was the original consciousness raising old faithful from the seventies, beloved for years. That was discontinued, and recently the Doxy has been the go-to wand vibrator. I've not tried either of the aforementioned, but I did buy a cheap wand vibrator a few years ago, which was very disappointing. I guess you get what you pay for.Comparing my previous purchase and this wand side by side, this more expensive item is definitely more impressive. A vibrator generally has either buzzy vibrations (which tickle the surface of the skin), or rumbly vibrations which have a deeper sound and which penetrate deeper into the body, providing more intense stimulation. This wand has the latter, for sure.However I find it doesn't completely work for me. The large head spreads the vibrations out over a large area. Depending on your anatomy this can make it hard to get it into exactly the right place, and I find that it can numb the genital area, which is completely the opposite of what you want to happen. I find that of the three levels of steady vibration and three pulsing patterns (which are all the same level, but just pulse at different speeds), none of them are quite right. I found they all kind of beat me into submission rather than gradually increasing my level of arousal to lead me into a satisfying climax. Also the wand is large and heavy. This, along with the vibrations running up the handle, make it uncomfortable to hold for any more than a few minutes.Last year I bought the Lelo Sona Cruise, which really impressed me. It's much smaller, and USB rechargeable, but the vibrations are just as powerful as this toy, and much more penetrating. Plus the shape works better for me, as you can be very precise, and there's a real variety of vibration patterns. Even the lowest level works very well for me. If you are after a wand massager because of its strong vibrations, I urge you to consider the Sona instead.

I think a few people have misinterpreted this product as actually being a muscle massager. Originally developed as a play toy for the bedroom it could double as being a muscle relaxer too. Definitely a toy for the ladies but has a few issues in the 21st century in my opinion... Cable length is good but a bit longer would be ideal if your plug sockets are not near the bed ;o) It's also very bulky and for many ladies too big to manoeuvre to get the best use from.Three speeds and three speeds plus pulsating mode. Packaged in plain outer packaging so if it's left with a neighbor they'd have to completely unpack it before knowing what you'd ordered!It apparently has a flexible head, you'd need to give it some real brute strength in order to get this thing to flex very much though! If it were to be used as a muscle relaxer you'd need someone else using it for your back to get the best results. Yes,​ it's powerful and yes its good but bulkiness lets it down somewhat.

OK, so imagine my entertainment when this one popped up in my queue.I am a massive fan of toys. Admittedly, when I first saw this I did indeed think "massager". Then, I saw the attachments that were being advertised with it and suddenly, I realised just what I was being offered. The attachments do not come with it. It is just the big head. Pleasure or pain, pick your poison.It has a plug. Boy does it have a plug. The lead is extra long. I feel this is a massive benefit that needs to be mentioned.Now, I have used this as a shoulder massager, gently teasing out the stresses and strains of the day. Easing out the nightmares. Taking away the pain.Then, when the kids are asleep, it is a different story. It has a plug. Did I mention that?No need for batteries, no need for messing about, it is literally a plug and play. It is insanely powerful. Admittedly, for the weak of heart, this is pretty intense, but, without wishing to scare off those with a sensitive palet, there is absolutely nothing that this cannot do. It has several settings, from tease to "omg". My partner at the time thought this was particularly hilarious.It is one of those items that is definitely a "how could I have not bought this?" it truly is an item that is understood only when used. It is an intense vibration. I have known nothing like it in truth.I guess the upside and the downside to all this is indeed that it has a plug. ***...Must look at attachments....***
