I bought this adapter to connect a Røde SmartLav+, which is designed for smartphones and PCs with TRRS inputs (or, I guess these days, a USB C/Lightning to 3.5mm headphone adapter), to a Tascam DR-07X recorder which has a TRS stereo mic/aux input. At first I thought the adapter wasn't the right one for the job or mine was defective... however, there are one or two settings on the recorder you need to adjust before it will work:1. (More critical) Enable MIC POWER in the REC SETTING menu. Without power, all you'll get is dead input from an unpowered microphone like the SmartLav+.2. (Less critical) Record in MONO instead of STEREO, since both channels will be identical anyway. This won't affect how much you can record to MP3, but it will affect WAV recording space.Now that I am using the right settings, the product itself seems to be perfectly good; hopefully this review helps others who are having similar problems using this adapter with the Tascam DR-05X and DR-07X along with audio recorders with a mic/line in jack.

I ordered this dual lapel mic twice. got the first and it would not allow voice to record. I sent it back and got another for replacement. Had the same problem. By the process of elimination I concluded the adapter was the problem because I could plug in my shotgun mic and it work fine. So I ordered and received a adapter from Movo, it works fine. So if you get this and have recording problems, it could be the adapter. Looks like they have a bad batch and they all will all have the same problem. Now the I have a good adapter, I will hang on to it for back up as I am now using a wireless mic.

Fit just right with my Wireless Lavalier microphone connected to Camera

Exactly what I was looking for to connect a lav mic to my GoPro Hero 9. The 90-degree bend makes the lav mic wire not stick out so far, which works great when I mount the GoPro to things like my backpack shoulder straps and attach it to my coat. All the other TRRS to TRS adapters were straight, causing it to stick out too far. So far the sound quality is great, no issues at all.
