Compact, Convenient, and Functional Indoor Compost Bin
I purchased the Stonespace small indoor compost bin in green, and it's been a great addition to my kitchen. The color is vibrant and appealing, and the size-1.3 gallon/5 liters-is perfect for fitting neatly on my countertop without taking up too much space. It holds enough for a day or two of regular composting, depending on what we cook. Sometimes we empty it sooner, while other times it lasts several days to even a week, which is very convenient. The bin comes with a lid, which I love for keeping everything contained after depositing vegetable scraps, fruit peels, coffee filters and grounds, eggshells, and other compostable materials. While I made the purchase in winter and haven't experienced fruit flies or ants yet, it does effectively keep regular flies and stinkbugs out. The handle is another thoughtful design feature-it makes it easy to move the bin to my cooking and cutting area while meal prepping, and it's equally handy for carrying outdoors to the compost pile. To me, the handle feels sturdy enough for regular use. The bin includes a cupboard door mount accessory that's simple to install-you just hook it to the door and close it. While I personally prefer storing the bin on my countertop, as mounting it would interfere with my kitchen setup, I can see how it could be useful for others. However, I found the mount to be a little "wobbly" and am unsure if it could withstand frequent bumps or being knocked into. The rectangular plastic shape makes cleaning a breeze. I simply rinse it out when emptying and give it a thorough wash when needed. Because it is easy to clean, I don't bother with compost bin liner bags, which saves money and avoids generating extra waste. Composting itself should not produce foul odors (as long as you avoid meat and dairy), but the lid does a great job of containing the natural smells inside the bin. I also appreciate the accurate description of the size, which helps ensure the bin suits your needs. I like that the bin is made of plastic instead of metal. This way I don't have to worry about the bin rusting or leaving marks on my countertop. The bin comes in four color options-green, black, light blue, and white-offering a choice for different preferences. The price for the product seems to be reasonable, especially since we use it almost every day. I haven't encountered issues with scratching or smudging, as I only use the bin for composting, but I find the sturdy design works well for its intended purpose. While the description mentions it can be used as a trash bin for other rooms, I'm quite happy using it for collecting compost in my kitchen. Overall, this compact and functional compost bin has made composting easier and more convenient for my household. I'm really pleased with this purchase, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a practical indoor solution to get you to compost regularly.

Compact & Neat Compost Bin / Trash Bin
Compact and useful. The hanging hook is useful to store next to a trash bin for peeling potatoes / carrots if you happen to use this as a compost bin like I do. Looks neat and nice on the counter as well, it doesn't take up too much space. A nice trash bin for under-the-sink if your "main" kitchen bin isn't close by. If you are using it as a indoor compost bin (to collect for outdoor compost bin) like myself, just need to order compostable bags, line the bins with said bags, and take out to compost bin when full. But it is a bit small to be used as a compost bin for a family of 4, all of which love to cook... so it may be filled up fast and need to be taken out to the outdoor compost bin. (Which is fine, kind of what I was expecting / hoping-ish for.) The lid is... okay. I had a different expectation of it in my head, I suppose. But so long as it keeps the flies out, we're okay.

Almost Perfect Kitchen Compost Bucket
This undersink/countertop composter checks almost all the boxes! - I love the bucket’s narrow profile that allows it to fit between my trashcan and the wall under my kitchen sink. - I like that the lid can be completely removed and can also hang off the side if desired. - I like that it includes a rigid bag support band that slips over the top edge of the bucket. - I like that the composter has a removable bracket that easily hangs off this edge of the drawer below the countertop to provide hands-free support while scraps are scooped off the counter into the bucket. - I like that it has a bail handle. Cons: - Unfortunately, the handle is not quite strong enough to support the bucket when it is full. Had the handle been stronger I would’ve rated this bucket at 5/5 stars. The first time I started to carry the bucket out to my outdoor composter, I immediately felt the handle flex significantly. Because I do not want to break my handle,, if the composer is full, I must support the bottom of the bucket with my other hand. This makes opening the door to go outside a bit challenging. I realize this can be overcome by emptying the bucket when it’s only half full, but having a bail that is underrated for the weight of the full bucket is a design flaw. Quibbles: - I like that the compost bucket *almost* perfectly fits a paper lunch bag liner. I like using lunch bag liners because they are biodegradable and make cleaning the bucket much easier. If the bucket had been just slightly narrower and taller, it would perfectly fit a lunch bag, As it is, I have to tear the top of the lunch bag in a couple of places to get it to reach around the circumference of the top of the bucket to be secured by the bag support. Perhaps if the bucket were taller and narrower it might make it more difficult for some to scoop scraps off the counter into the compost bucket.

Function and style!
Love these bins! Perfect for my small apartment. It fits right under the sink, contains odors, and was easy to install. The color is great, bringing a little style to an otherwise utilitarian item. It is light weight, holds a good amount of material and is easy to clean. Super excited to have this and highly recommend.

Great compost bin.
I love this compost bin . The lid even has a hook so you can hook it on the bin when you don’t want to put it on the counter. Perfect sized. The adhesive works well if you stick it to a cabinet and you can still slide the bin off to wash and slide it back on and it hasn’t fallen off after a year.

Super useful, and well made
This might be my favorite addition to my kitchen in a while. We adopted two dogs a couple of years ago, and their domain at night and while we're away is in our kitchen. Thus, we can no longer keep a trash can in our kitchen out in the open. Unfortunately, our pantry is to small to keep one in there, and walking trash out to our garage every few minutes was less than ideal. In comes this bin. It fits perfectly under my kitchen cabinet, so is always behind a closed door. It holds more than enough for our use, and only have to empty every two or three days. I also love that I can easily move it to hang on the outside of the cabinet when I am peeling/chopping veggies to easily dispose of waste. It sounds silly to to so excited about something like this, but it has made cooking/cleanup so much easier.

Handle pops out
I like a lot about this bin. We went from a smaller bin to this one and I LOVE the larger size. It allows for longer time between dumping and less piling up of organics on the counter! I also love that it fits under our sink. It’s easy to swing the cabinet open, lift the lid and put stuff in. You can also easily take off of the cabinet and move to where you’re prepping dinner for easier access if you have a lot at one time. However, I gave it 3 starts because the handle is flimsy which could be a huge issue carrying this bin out to our larger organic bin. It pops out from the sides very easily and I’m afraid it’s going to drop and dump our compost all over. So I have to carry the bin in my arms. Not a huge deal if it’s clean, but I would prefer to use the handle. It would also be great if the lid was somehow attached so it stayed on the bin when open. I didn’t lower the rating because of this. It’s just a nice to have. I find that I usually need 2 hands when putting stuff in so I have to find a place for the lid while doing it. The lid isn’t super clean so….

This is the bin you've been looking for!
This trash can has exceeded my expectations! I replaced an old IKEA trash can that hung inside my kitchen cabinet, and I could not be happier with this new bin! The color (a dusty cyan blue), the sturdiness, the removable lid that can hang out of the way on the side of the bin, the hanging choices - it comes with THREE -an adhesive hanger, a screw in hanger, and an over the door hook, which is wide and sturdy. It has everything you could want in a hanging bin. I can repurpose my plastic grocery bags with this size bin, instead of buying more garbage bags. I might hang a small adhesive hook on the outside of two of the sides to help hold the grocery bag handles just in case, but even without the hooks, slipping hasn't been a problem. This looks so nice inside the cabinet. I'm no longer embarrassed to tell guests where the trash can is with this nice looking bin in there!
