As sharp as my steel chef's knife and does not need sharpening
This is the sharpest ceramic knife I have owned - see 1st 30Xmicrograph - (I have never tried a Kyocera ceramic knife). It easily cuts through the skin of a beefsteak tomato or a Hass Avocado. My previously sharpest ceramic knife - see 2nd 30Xmicrograph - (came with a cute "Hippo" keeper): "Food Knife, Fruit Knife, Ceramic Blade, Ceramic Knives, Easy to Hold the Handle, Lightweight, 4-inch, Ceramic Paring Knife, O-LIFE", from Amazon, was slightly more expensive and not as sharp. So, this "Ecogup" ceramic knife is a winner. The 30Xmicrographs show the sharpest part of the knife blades; it may not be easy to see, but the Ecogup blade edge is cleaner and sharper than the O-LIFE blade edge. NOTE: I previously broke two blades of "economy" ceramic knives during use by slight twisting, so I never torque this blade - strictly straight and narrow cutting, and never use on frozen food.

Not good quality
Broke two days after it arrived.

Super sharp
....BUT ,super sharp does not mean durable. these type blades are famous for breaking after falling to the floor, so in other words, treat it as a fragile tool .
