AYI Robot Lawn Mower

Had to wait for snow to go away on March 1 and been trying to make work since. Won’t connect to internet, won’t run after setting up wire ring I’m rain and cold and doesn’t have instructions that a small dog can read. Now I am passed return date. What a total expensive mistake. Calls for help go to a European location so no help there. Awful experience and loss of a large amount of money. Bad bad bad

I bough two of these in 2023. Both worked fine. In 2024, one simply died. It stopped chrging. I cleaned it out, cleaned the contacts, etc. No luck. This was very disappointing. The helpline had been great. But, they shut it down. I managed to get through, finally to someone who informed me of that. So, at best, I give this a below average rating because one of my two purchases failed.

after 4 hours laying down wires on my yard. the device just didn't work. several bad things about.1 - you have to add the password several times. got stuck password. then if you want to make it work again, password. you don't have an option to disable the password. like giving password 6 times to just understand why was getting stuck.app doesn't work with the provided QR code nor exist in the store. you have to contact support to get the link.Mine was with a defect, getting stuck even on pavement. goes forward, backward and error. did reset and was the same even with full battery. returning thanks God for my prime membership!

For the price, this is a great deal. I would loved to have kept it but it struggles with the thick St. Augustine grass. With the cutting height set to the highest level, it's body still pushes into the grass and constantly stops/turns. The app is OK. If I had a fescue grass yard, this mower is a no-brainer. It handled the slope in my yard well. Setup and install was easy. I liked the extra 50 meters of wire too.I ended up buying the Worx Landroix S. With the Landroid cutting setting in the middle of the height setting it just powered through the grass. It's also a little faster then the AYI. Kind of surprised me. The app was about the same but the internet connection for some reason was more challenging and the doc was poor if you had a connectivity issue.

The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: So I've had this mower for 6 months now and I felt I should update my review. It is still one of the best decisions I've made. I have had no issues, my yard always looks great, and it is an amazing time saver at a great cost. Its quiet and easy and has freed up a lot of time to spend with my kids on weekends instead. I was skeptical. Anytime someone visits and its running, people are always intrigued. I have no negative things to say. It was definitely worth the investment.----------------Okay, so laying the boundary wire took a minute and my legs ached from squatting so much the next day. The first time I tried it, it said "loop signal lost" and wouldn't run (which meant something was wrong with the wire). I checked it over a couple times and once I loosened some areas, it worked. A few minutes in, it stopped and gave me the same error message. After some investigating, turns our the wire that hooks into the charging port had become disconnected. The clips there are finicky, be gentle with them. Finally, it works! It was extremely satisfying to watch it work today, and it did an amazing job. My yard is uneven and has some obstacles, but it handled everything extremely well. I am so excited to have this mower!Also, throughout my issues with the error codes, customer service was amazing. Emailing back and forth was fast, they gave clear troubleshooting instructions, and offered service over the phone. I spoke with Hailey the whole time and she said, "We WILL get this working for you, dont worry. We got you." She was extremely personable and helpful. She also let me know that I could contact her in the future if I ever needed help or extra parts. That was good to know. But yes, be careful laying the guidewire, dont do it too tight like I did and double check the ends, and you should be good. Once you get it rolling, you will love it! 😊

The media could not be loaded. My mower has stopped working. I noticed it was stuck in the middle of the yard and when I hit the the stop button and turned it over to see if something was stuck underneath, I heard a rattling noise. I took all the blades off thinking it was that but wasn't still able to move it to proper cutting and then turn it upside down again and heard a rattling noise. I can't seem to have the piece fall out. I put the blades back on, put the mower on the grass and then for some reason it start cutting the grass very short and got stuck. I hit the stop button again. Turned it upside down to see what was wrong. I couldn't find anything. I tried to do the blade adjustment. Maybe something happened while I was looking at it. I set the blade height to the maximum but now it's making it grinding noise. Contact the customer service helpline. It will run and return home as long as the blades are not turning the cut grass .Waiting for Drfeedback.

I have been using the mower for several months. It took some time to set up and set the wire so it would work without an error. The app is a little wonky so I called customer service for help and no one ever picked up, so I let it go.Then the wheel of the mower was damaged (my fault) and I have been calling, emailing, and sending messages via Facebook, eBay and Amazon - I can't get any response. Right now, I can't use the mower at all and can't find any information about parts...bummer.

I initially didn't have enough boundary wire, but they sent me more after contacting them. I wasn't sure how to set it up initially but Liu personally took the time to guide me through it over FaceTime until we got it to work. They were very responsive throughout the process and helped me ensure everything works perfectly.It's so quiet I can run it any time of day or night and I like that I can schedule the mowing and not even have to think about it. Free up your time to do more of what you love and make lawn mowing a thing of the past!
