Granddaughter loved them and read through them soon after having them.

My 7 year old daughter absolutely loves these books. She can read all of them by herself. She used to have the younger hardbook Billie B Brown books and she was so exciting when she got these ones.

These books are great for young readers!

Love Billie B Brown. My daughter and I have read the mystery series and started on the Billie series. This book set was cheaper than continuing to buy the rest of the books individually, but it does have the British/Australian… I’m not sure what it is called really, spelling of things such as Mom is now mum and pajamas is now pyjames. They make gingerbread biscuits instead of gingerbread cookies. I am fine with it, but it is a little confusing to my beginning reader. It has led us to talk about how words are spelled and used differently depending on your country though. I know the author is from Australia and I am guessing that our first books we read were translated to American English or whatever the proper term for that is. Each book has around 4 chapters. We read two chapters per night. It is all simple and my daughter can read the majority of it on her own (we read aloud together though). Billie is a great character and my daughter loves reading about her journeys. I highly recommend the books, starting with Spooky House, that are a little more advanced too. It’s about their Secret Mystery Club (the SMC). Cockadoodle-doooo! :) There are 6 of those.

My 6 year old son loves the Hey Jack set from the same author so we purchased this set. He really likes that Jack shows up in nearly every story. Great for a bedtime book and for newish readers. One thing though, this isn’t American English. So I translate while reading to avoid confusing my son, not a big deal. E.g. biscuits = cookies, bathers = bathing suit, etc.

This series was a gift to my grandchild that absolutely loves to read. She was excited to get them
