Designer Water Filter Purifer Faucet: Stylish and Solid
I purchased this faucet to use with the Culligan US-EZ-1 EZ-Change Undersink Drinking Water Filtration System, 3,000 Gallon . The faucet that comes with the Culligan system didn't have good reviews so I decided to play it safe by investing in this faucet. Both items arrived at the same time and I checked out the faucets side by side. There is world of difference between the light-weight, cheap-feeling Culligan faucet, and this faucet. The designer faucet is heavier with a very solid feel to it and looks very nice. It doesn't take up a lot of space either. In short, if you are buying the Culligan filtration kit, buy this with it. Installation was very easy. I simply removed the sink sprayer hose and replaced it with this faucet. You will need someone to hold the faucet in place as you tighten it all up so it doesn't up facing in some other direction. One word of caution: the water can come shooting out with some serious force by an unsuspecting user if the handle is turned very quickly. Works great so far. Will post updates. 1/11/2012. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ UPDATE: 3/18/2015 Still going strong. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ UPDATE 7/8/2016 Still working as good as day one after five years now.

Great Faucet [STILL, UPDATED 1 DEC 25]
I bought this to replace the 8 year old plastic faucet that came with our Culligan SY-1000 filter (which was leaking/dripping). This is so much better. It's a real faucet and has a good flow rate. I've only been using it for about 3 months so I can't speak (yet) to it's durability but I'm expecting that to be good. The guy who installed it for me said it was very good and it installed easily. Would recommend it. [UPDATE July 8, 2014] -- We've been using this faucet for for almost 1.75 years and it's still great. Love the flow rate and it still looks great. Not much more to say about it. [UPDATE July 22, 2016] -- It's been almost 3.75 years now and this faucet is still going strong! Looks brand new and works well. I highly recommend it. [UPDATE Dec. 23, 2019] -- It's still going strong 7 years later, and it still looks good too! I see all the negative reviews so maybe something changed with it, but ours gets heavy use and is still excellent. [UPDATE Dec. 1, 2025] -- It looks like this is discontinued but after 13 years we're still using it without any issues. I can't get the replacement filters for my Culligan SY-1000 system anymore so I'll have to replace that when I run out in a year or so but I may still be able to use this faucet.

CANNOT BE REPAIRED. Entire faucet must be replaced when the nylon cartridge valve fails.
Operated flawlessly for nearly 4 years, valve has failed (water seeps from body) and cannot be replaced. We were very pleased with the build, operation, and fairly easy installation of this faucet. Unfortunately, the valve CANNOT BE REPLACED. Appears to be a nylon/plastic material, I cannot extract it from the faucet body. Previous reviews of this item confirm my suspicion. Very unfortunate and wasteful to manufacture a water appliance such as this, and design it so it must be completely replaced when a simple wear part expires. Will be replacing this with a Mountain Plumbing model, MT625-NL-CPB, that can be repaired if/when the valve fails. Purchasing from a plumbing supply that also stocks the cartridge valve.) The part which really sucks is that I'll have to remove/reinstall the garbage disposal in order to complete this project. Repairing the faucet above-ground would have been MUCH preferred.

Nice inexpensive faucet, at first...
Was looking for a replacement faucet after the plastic handle broke on the original 11 year old faucet. This faucet appeared to be of decent quality and was inexpensive compared to other we looked at. Worked great for 10 months but now leaks when used. Poor quality o rings I suppose as we don't swivel this unit much although it is used every day.

Has worked out well + new update
I purchased this to save money by not buying it from a dealer and so far it's been working out fine. I read all the previous reviews before buying it and bought it on the faith of the previous reviewers. Seems they were right and so far so good. I would recommend it to anyone else looking to save money. One of the previous reviewers stated that it is possible to fix this device if it needs a new washer inside the handle and this is the primary reason I bought it plus the other good reviews. With my old one it just had to be thrown away because once it started dripping it couldn't be repaired. That seems like such a waste. I haven't had an opportunity to test this out because so far the device is working fine and not leaking. I'll re-post in the future if I have good luck with repairing it if need be. UPDATE: (October 2013) I have continued to enjoy this faucet and it really has good pressure. So far the water stream hasn't slowed down at all. I don't know if it will when the pressurized tank under the sink needs to be re-pressurized but it's been great so far. One detail - I must have accidentally hit the spout with something - a pan no doubt - when trying to fill it with water and that blow to the spout definitely loosened it big time. Now it's wobbly and I have to be careful. It's a shame and I don't blame the device per se - however - it isn't as heavy duty as some other spouts so I did manage to loosen it up a lot when I hit it. :-( Oh - another thing - I had a very good plumber install it and it took him awhile. It wasn't the easiest installation I've ever witnessed and I had to help him by holding on to it while he was under the sink tightening it. So it seemed to be a 2-person job in that respect. Still I've been really satisfied with the faucet. I really like the on-off handle - works nicely.
