Review: Disclaimer - This story can make you cry! Will you fall in love with a person who is going to die soon? Can you sacrifice your entire life for the person who you met just a month ago? You are still the one is a love story of Trisha and Aditya. Trisha had cancer and was under the supervision of Aditya’s mother. When they met for the first time, they instantly felt a connection between them. Aditya helped Trisha in her entire recovery journey and they eventually fall in love. But here’s the thing Trisha realised: that she can’t fall in love with Aditya. She doesn’t want him to be shattered one day after she died. After expressing her inner feelings, Aditya suddenly disappeared from her life. Has Aditya really left Trisha? Will Trisha be able to forget him? Why he has left Trisha if he truly loves her? This is an extremely engaging love story that keeps readers hooked on it. I loved how Aditya and his efforts were the sole reason for Trisha’s happiness during her treatment. I found myself giggling at Aditya and Meetu’s jokes. The end of the story was quite shocking. I really wanted it to happen the other way. But the end can truly shake the readers. There’s nothing that I disliked in this book. I would recommend this book to every reader who wants to read a heartwarming story of eternal love and friendship with some major twists. Review: #qotd- Which one book made you realise the true meaning of struggle? This amazing book 'You are still the one' by @authorhimanshu is a wonderful story of Trisha, a 17 year old girl who got diagonsed with cancer. Loosing all hope and faith to live a normal & a happy life, she encountered Aditya, who became a new hope for her to live life in a way she wanted to. But does this mean, all is going to be normal and the way she thought? Not really.... Without any spoilers, this story is a true depiction of how one can believe in true love no matter what may come in life ahead. The story is well constructed and characters have played their role very well. I liked the cover of the book and this is an easy pick by the beginners. Language is easy to understand and the emotional speed breakers in between will definitely make you cry and happy at the same time. Chapter 24- 40 years later, somewhere in Zurich...... Well this is something I loved the most in the book, but what is it that made me hook to this lovely creation till the end? What is this chapter all about? What exactly happened till this climax chapter and whom did she choose finally? To know the answers of these questions, I would recommend you to quickly pick the book & join me in appreciating the author for his lovely creation. A fast paced romance, this book truly defines care, pain, happiness & above all, believing in true love, however, the quality of the pages could have been better to make this book a forever collection in one's personal library. The story revolves around the life of a lively teenage girl, Trisha who starts losing hope in life as she is diagnosed with cancer. Upon coming to Delhi for treatment, she meets the doctor’s son, Aditya who is anl army officer and they both become friends. As they meet Trisha’s cousin, Varun, and his girlfriend, Meetu, the four start developing a strong bond. As Trisha’s treatment starts, her negative thoughts also multiply and the three of them become her support pillars. With this, the bond between Trisha and Aditya grows and turns into love. But Trisha tries to control her emotions and distances Aditya. As he leaves for Siachen for his first posting, neither of the three hear from him which was especially heartbreaking for Trisha. As all three decide to move on in life, Trisha pursues her graduation from London where she meets Dakshit and a strong bond forms between them which was more than friendship. As she starts believing that she loves Dakshit, a message from Aditya on the common group changes her life. What happens next? Does she meet Aditya again? What happens between Dakshit and Trisha? The story is well-written with well-developed characters and a smooth flow. The author has beautifully penned the bond of friendship between Varun, Meetu, Trisha and Aditya with well-expressed emotions. However, the book gave me a lot of ‘The Fault in Our Stars’ vibes initially and while the ending was quite unexpected, it felt a little too rushed and could have been put forward in a better way. Overall, the book was a good read for me with a different and unusual storyline. Due its easy and lucid writing style, a beginner can also read it. I would recommend people looking for a bit different contemporary fiction on friendships and relationships to pick this up.
