Nice and heavy, machine tooled and adjustable. Great design

It is sort of a delicate hammer for your portafilter.The weight adds the right amount of pressure to compact the grounds to increas your opportunity for a successful barista like brew.The trickiest part to this thing is understaning how to set it up in relation to the portafilter. Yes it has settings printed on the edge...but which one to choose?Well you have to know about your portafilter and the level it should be at in the first place, and set your tamper accordingly.The distributor is a sweet sweeping machine.Keep in mind it is hefty. Do NOT drop it on your nice floors or counter top.A definitely worthy add to your coffee toolbox..

Easy to adjust with scale

Finally purchased this tamper after sitting in my cart for a while. It works very well with the porta-filter basket for my Barista Pro. Very flat, even grounds every time. Plus, spinning it is really satisfying. Recommended, and don't dither about it like I did.

Excellent addition for my expresso coffee corner

Ever since we started using this tamper, our espresso pulls have become more consistent and even, which results in a better tasting latte. I love the design it as well. It’s very slick and compact. Plus, it has adjustable setting which are easy to use. If you are looking to up your espresso game, this is certainly a great product to get more consistent espresso shots.

Overall performs as expected. Has some wiggle room in the 58mm Rancilio Silvia basket but provides adequate coverage. This tamp weighs less than my 54mm MATOW distributor and tamper. The numbers on the side are a nice add but are hard to read. I think a vertical color bar with a different color for each setting would be more helpful and easier to know what range you are in. It’s heavy enough, easy to clean, and provides good coverage for my basket, so I think it’s a good value for the price.
