Excellent Quality Spice Infuser/Mulling Ball
NOTE: I am a member of the Amazon Vine Program. I try out new products, and then provide an honest, unbiased review, based on my personal impressions and experience. I am not paid for my reviews. This stainless-steel spice infuser/mulling ball is nicely designed and crafted from sturdy stainless steel (vs. the thin mesh screen that many other infusers are made from), but with holes that are just the right size to support both large and small-sized spices. The large capacity (about 3” in diameter) allows for A LOT of herbs/spices to fit inside. The silicone lid seals well to keep contents securely inside, and has a strap that extends long enough to easily attach to the pot, as you can see in the one of the photos I have included with this review. When dropped into hot liquid, it infuses flavor quickly and without residue, making it great for adding flavor to homemade stocks and soups, or for preparing hot mulled cider and teas. At the time of my review, this infuser was selling for about $25, which may seem like a lot for something that isn’t necessarily “required” to cook with. That said, if you want to consider it a luxury item, so be it, and as such, it’s worth every dime, considering the quality of the item I received. This would make a lovely gift item, too.

Just what I needed
I got this for holding thyme sprigs and bay leaves when I make soup. It's big, but not quite big enough to easily place the thyme sprigs. But I can squish them in. I hate having to dig the sprigs out of hot soup when I'm done cooking, or missing one then chewing on it later. So this device fixes that. The plug/top is kind of hard to remove. I scanned the QR code on the box to watch a video about how to use the bomb specifically to find out how to open it. There, I found out I was doing it right, I just needed to try harder haha. Maybe it'll get easier over time with more use.

No more fishing in the stockpots
I had a pho soup spice pack so it felt like a good opportunity to try my new spice bomb. I poured all the ingredients into the spice bomb and tied the unit to the handles... And let the magic of the seepage into the bone broth. Pros: ✅ Somehow seemed to infuse better than just dumping all ingredients into the broth...? I can't explain this or maybe this is just excitement/placebo ✅ Easy clean, soak, rinse, shake, and dry! You can even hang it to dry. ✅ Almost all the ingredients remain contained and don't need to be fished out!! (A few cracked peppercorns escaped) ✅ Plug stays secure, no worries about an explosion (this also means it is kind of annoying to open. I recommend using a dull knife to lift the silicone) No cons to speak of... Again, I reiterate how amazing the bomb can be, especially when you have ingredients/spices that can be reused or need to be disposed of after making stock/broth. This spice bomb levels up my broth and enables some kitchen innovation. I couldn't be happier to recommend this to others!

Simple and useful
Adhoc Spice Bomb Spice Infuser - Stainless Steel Spice Bomb with Silicone Clasp - Herb Infuser for Soups - Dishwasher Safe Kitchen Tool This spice infuser is a tool I didn't think I needed until I got one. The infuser is well made and is durable. I like that this can be for herbs, spices, and loose tea. It's made cooking with flavor much easier and less time consuming. Five stars.

Don't Pull the Stem
So, I ordered this because my wife saw it and said it would be helpful for when she is making soups or whatever. The construction of this thing is simple, but they still managed to mess it up. The silicone stem is VERY weak. When it arrived, I saw that it was very thin and decided to test it. I tried opening the ball by pulling the stem, a natural inclination or most, I quickly stopped pulling before the stem broke. It is not strong enough to pull the rest of the silicone stopper out of the ball. That makes this ball very inconvenient. If you are making a soup and the spices are staged so that you add different spices at different times, then it will be less than ideal to remove the stopper and change the herbs/spices while the ball is hot. Overall, it works, but be careful with the stem.

Works Well On Larger Spices And Herbs
This works well for infusing your stocks with spices. However, due to the size of the holes any spices larger than thyme leaves could come through rather easily. Also, if you use broken cinnamon quills the shards can also come of of the wholes if they're smaller. (Cumin and fennel seeds can easily escape the larger holes too.) The one thing this does well in my eyes is when using fresh herbs you can shove stem and all into this and it'll make easy stem removal. For a perfectly clear stock I wouldn't use this, but as long as you understand the limits this isn't a bad device.

Plug is hard to remove
Review for Adhoc Spice Bomb Spice Infuser - Stainless Steel Spice Bomb with Silicone Clasp - Herb Infuser for Soups - Dishwas This is really well made and a quality item. The silicone plug is very hard to get in and out. Maybe it will get easier over time, but I had to work very hard to even remove it the first time. I finally pushed in on one side, and that opened a gap that I was able to use to get the whole thing out. So loading it and cleaning it are not the easiest things to do. It is really a lovely item. It is also pretty pricey, though probably worth it for this quality. The little ball on the end of the tether has a slot in it so you can attach it to the edge of the pot or cup if the edge is thin enough.
