This works great to clean mineral deposit rings off toilets. Other stuff like chemicals didn't work or scubbers. Lots of material will last a long time. Disposable after each use to clean.

Worked really well to clean up old corroded copper pipe to go from a sweated valve to a compression fitting. First time buyer, first time user. This roll is way more than I, a homeowner, will ever need.

Durable with good cutting power. I used it to sand paint off of radiator valve stems (my house’s prior owners rendered them all useless/stuck - one of many their bad choices…) and it scoured through several coats quickly and without clogging, and still had grit left over to polish up the metal underneath. I haven’t used for soldering prep, but I imagine it’ll scuff up copper with similarly good/rapid results. Good value for the cost - I did a dozen radiators and still have most of the roll left. Easy to tear (and easy to tear the strip in half, if you need to get into narrow spots….) The grit falls off and makes a bit of a mess as you use it - true of all abrasive tapes, this is about on par with any other variety I’ve used - but it stiff up to a good deal of sanding before the tape completely lost its teeth. The roll is about the size of a hockey puck - small enough to go in a tool kit, but a bit unwieldy and prone to unspooling. Not giving it five stars because, well, I don’t like “grade inflation” in reviews and this stuff didn’t do anything *exceptional*, but it did everything that I expected it to, and I was more than satisfied with the product and the price.

Good stuff . I like this better than Emery cloth for cleaning copper.

I love this produce. I use it to clean the hard water lines in my toilets. It works really well and is not as abrasive as pumice stone. Pumice eventually wore down the finish on my toilets so I was happy to hear how well this works.

The roll makes the product convenient, but its longevity or lack thereof makes it less convenient. Compared to 3M brand, it’s got a very short lifetime, but in fairness, I’m making an apples to oranges comparison. The 3M brand is on a conventional Sheetrock sanding pad like you find at big brand stores and can attach to a pole to hand sand and I’m using the Scottchen product on a dust-free hand sander that I would guess has much more pressure being applied to it because it’s not at the end of a 4-5’ pole and with the assist from the vacuum, you can almost stick the latter to the wall with just suction, so there’s a considerable amount of friction when using the Scottchen. I have used the Scottchen brand less frequently on a smaller non-vacuum assisted sander for tighter areas of sanding though, and its lifetime isn’t much longer than the vacuum assisted sander, so again, much less than the 3M brand. It’s not such a big deal because of the price difference, until considering I’ve had the 3M brand in use for several years, and I’ve probably already gone through a half roll of Scottchen, but the dust free sander is longer than what is available from 3M so it’s what I ordered. If there was a 3M version that fit my sander, I would recommend it over the Scottchen, but the Scottchen can go a good 30 minutes or so of hard sanding before needing to be replaced due to decreased performance and it is, at least, getting the job done.

I have a toilet in my master bedroom that runs on due to old defective flush valve. Ignored it and my water bill went from $170 to $438. Besides the flush valve I noticed my shutoff valve was pooched! Bought new shutoff valve, toilet connector, sharkbite shutoff valve and fluidmaster flush valve. One issue I encountered was that the Yahoo that previously owned my house while painting the bathroom green decided to paint the copper pipe! As I need to cut the pipe to either use sharkbite shutoff valve or soulder a standard shutoff valve the copper needs to be clean and polished. This requires plumbers cloth as sand paper will not get the appropriate finish. This product is priced well and gives the desired result.

Really nice sanding cloth. Just wish it came with a roll box or someway to keep the roll together. If it had that, it would be a 5 star for value/price.
