how do i install?? does the screw stay in?? what about the "peg" below plug in?

You can choose to install the Wall Mount Surge Protector over your AC outlet's wall plate and secure with the included mounting screw, or plug the surge protector directly into the outlet without using the screw.

Most of these items have the 'plugs' too close together so all of the 'inlets' they cannot be utilized. Is this the same as others? Also, is this a 2-prong plug or 3 with ground? Thank you all.

There is plenty of room to put 6 - 3 prong (1 grounded) plugs. The unit plugs into both of the wall outlets on your present electrical system. All you have to do is remove the screw from the plastic cover plug the Belkin in and then use their screw to further hold it in place. Really easy to do.
