A-Series Plus TS-A879 3.5” 2-Way Speakers (Pair) – 100W Max, Balanced Sound + Smooth Treble, Great Stock Replacement, Easy Installation

I put them in my 4 runner 2004 at the top of the doors they had a 3 inch tweeter . I had to make the hole in the bracket that held them in the door itself a little bigger . But they went in fine as far as the rest of the clearance . The door panel itself had to have some small trimming . It was just soft plastic and it didn’t hurt the integrity or comprises the overall appearance on the outside side . Now the sound quility is unbelievable. It was a big difference like watching a 13 inch black and white tv screen to moving up to a plasma flat screen in high definition ! Because before there was just a tweeter now there’s a mid-to high range woofer that goes down to 52hz . Then with a more complex an advanced tweeter that plays up in to the 33k hertz . You can really hear how dynamic it really is . I have hertz audio 8 inch sv200L SPL speakers at the bottom of my doors . Then alpine 1.25 tweeters custom molded in to the top of my A-pillars . Setting in the front two seats it’s the upmost sound quality one could get . That tells you how good these little pioneers are . The two other names I mentioned are top quality companies. Like alpine comes in Lamborghini, Ferrari, and BMW just to name a few . Hertz audio SPL speakers are for competition. I’ve always been a pioneer fan and these little 3.5’s are out of this world . Pioneer has stepped up its game and for less than $80.00 you can not find any that size for any less money an you have to pay 4-6 x that much for any thing close. Morel and hertz wants $1000.00 plus for a set of tweeters that wil out do these ones . You can’t beat these for the price and the quality. An the small size you can just about put them any were if your customizing or modifying a stock location. They really impressed every one who has listen to my system . They all say they can hear more detail in the music an they seem to fill in what was missing between my really highs and my mid to low range. I looked high and low for a set of tweeters and had no luck for the amout of money I was willing to spend . I was ready to go $200.00 . Then I seen these and checking every thing from $450.00 an down . Thers no other that can get you that 33K hertz on the top end . I seen some that went 22K&28K but they were close to half a G. Now I might spend that much on 2 - 8 inch SPL woofers . Even a buck fity on some alpine tweeters. These pioneers sound like they could be a set of $500.00-$1000.00 dollar speakers . And they handle way more power than any others under $500.00 . 100Watts (rms) up to 450Watts of power . That’s insane for a 3.5 inch tri-axle speaker. I put around 100-225 on each of them and they are extremely loud. You just wouldn’t believe it . I’ve had them now for almost a year an they never have disappointed me if they last 2-4 years I can say I definitely got my moneys worth . I highly recommend them you won’t be disappointed and I think if every th8ng is done correctly and they don’t get any weather damage were you instail them . You’ll love them for the sound and power handling. You’ll find you need no were ne’er 450Watts to hear how loud they can be . I’d say a really nice head unit that had 50Watts x 4 (200Watts) tottal . Would make them jam just fine . I thank Amazon for being able to get them . There was no were else that had or could get them they were on back order and they cost more money like $100.00 and even higher. I found them through Google . But all the places were out of stock then I seen Amazon had them I ordered them an within 5 days I got them . I think it said a week to 10 days but they came early . Soon as I got them i installed them . I waited this long so I could give a review that would let every one know how much time I’ve jammed them hard at half power and how good they sound an still do . So you would know with what I’m telling is from time experience how great these are for your money even if they cost 3x as much as I paid I would still pay upwards of $250.00 for them because there just that dang good. Also thanks to Pioneer I’ve been a fan for over 42 years now ! An I’ll never get to old to not be to loud . They say they can hear me for over a mile and half before I get there ! I should get y db’s checked to see how loud I really am ! I have them and the 8’s running off a JL audio 400Watt amp . With a 2004 alpine CD head unit . Very nice very clean and extreamly loud . One of the best I ever built thanks to these PioneersTS-A879’s and Amazon’s help getting them ! I would take a picture but you can’t see them through the screen in the door pannle . Recording them for you to hear would do no justice. If you buy them you’ll see or rather hear what I’m telling you . Loud in southern 304 Wes by GOD Virginia ! Yaw come an hear me if you can !

Very happy with their sound in my 1981 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. Small speakers, so I wasn't expecting much low frequency output. Nice clarity and volume, though. These in the dash pair well with my 6x9 speakers in the rear package tray to deliver audio from my modern Custom Autosound USA 850 stereo. These are a great replacement for the ancient Concord Comp 300 speakers Pontiac installed, which long ago stopped working and had mostly rotted away after 44 years. I had to trim one of the plastic mount points so they would fit in the OE steel brackets that hold them in my cowl panel. The OE speaker grills easily fit over them.

I ordered these speakers from Amazon to replace my factory-installed speakers. They were well worth the money, they sound great, the quality was crisp and clear. They were easy to use, easy to install, and great for listening to your favorite music through.

The 100 watt peak is questionable. Forced to pair these with my JL C2's due to mounting depth limitations on front dash on 2021 Tundra. (Center dash speaker can work with deeper mounted speakers but not the dash corners due to AC vents, in case this helps anyone.) Sound quality is okay. Better than a stock speaker. 3.8/5 in sound crispness. Gets distorted at higher volume level while only receiving roughly 20watts. I would only recommend them as a replacement for stock speakers.

Installed them in the upper dash position in my 92 volvo 740 wagon. They sound fantastic and really help to fill out the upper mids and highs along with the other drivers. I have these installed in an 8-way format alongside a pair of pioneer 5x7s in the front doors, a pair of pioneer 5.25s in the rear doors, and a pair of pioneer 6x9s in enclosed boxes in the rear corners of the hatch. I have these and the 5.25s driven by the receiver amp 4x30 watt rms and the rca outs from the receiver going to an alpine 4x45 watt rms amp going to the larger 5x7s and 6x9s. The result is amazing and I've been able to get surprising clarity and output with no distortion after some tuning, dialing in the crossovers, graphic eq, and gain on the amplifier for the larger drivers. I have a Cerwin-Vega Stroker 10in Subwoofer, Skar Audio 7 band eq, and Pioneer amp that I'll be adding next, but truthfully - it doesn't really need it all that much other than to fill out the lowest frequencies because it sounds amazing even without it. All considered - I'd highly recommend these 3.5s as well as recommending the other drivers too. I hope my rambling convinces people to decide on these because they're impressive for the range that they're intended for!

Just installed and they sound really good. They are crisp and clear. I can’t turn them up yet since they are in the breaking period. I have them paired to a Kenwood 75w per channel amp. I had the Kenwood KFC-X2C 2 3/4 in tweeters but they were way to harsh firm my liking. These pioneers immediately sounded better and what i expected my system to sound like. I’ll post an update in a few weeks. 12/27/25 - update: They sound amazing!!!!!

Really good especialy for the price, the sound is clear and crisp in all sound ranges especialy the highs and voices didnt need to amp them up to sound good and it was easy to instal fit right in perfectly and the size was dead on for the space i get great sound out of my stock speaker locations now works sooo much better than the ones that came in the car im super happy with them.

レクサスIS 30系非マクレビに装着 メルカリでバッフルを購入し、アリエクでコネクターのついた配線を購入、センタースピーカーには音量バランスをとるためアッテネーターを入れてます 純正は耳につくクセがあって音量を上げづらかったのですが、こちらに変えたところとても聞きやすくなりました。 スピーカーカバーをつけているので高域をイコライザーで上げてやるととてもスッキリ良い音になりました。 以前はキッカー等も入れましたが純正オーディオがパイオニア製なこともあってか、こちらのほうが音のつながりが良いです。
