Review: I really like this book. I followed along the videos the authors provided on their website (I paid for them), and found them really helpful. My 1.5 yr. old learned to drink from a straw in a cup at about 8 months. He was holding a cup properly at a year old. I would have loved this with my older children. I purchased the Baby Dipper spoon and bowl set they recommend, and my son learned how to eat from them quickly. My child did not have feeding issues. This book is good for everyone, even though most of the reviews here seem to be from those who deal with issues. He ate and drank correctly and without too much of a mess at a much younger age than my others. I purchased the Kuhn Rikon serrated toddler knives they recommend, and my 3 year old loves to help cut vegetables with it. I also bought the book Baby Self Feeding as well, since I really enjoyed this one. https://www.desertcart.com/Baby-Self-Feeding-Solutions-Introducing-Lifelong/dp/1592337228/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_sims?ie=UTF8 If I find it for really cheap, I'll purchase Melanie Potock's Happy Mealtimes with Happy Kids as well. I understand it's more of a summary of her other books. Review: A good read but didn’t work for our son. It might be worth it for others but sadly not us.

A bit scientific for me - hence still hasn't been properly read through

This is a great book to talk about and understand the frustrating stages of picky eating and learn the psychology behind it. There are fantastic ideas and strategies THAT ACTUALLY WORK (when you're fastidious with establishing your routines) and have helped our family to stay sane during the tough eating years!

As a Speech Pathologist, feeding therapy has always been a great interest of mine. Grad school was several years ago, though, and as a new mommy ready to embark into the both exciting and seemingly-terrifying world of starting solids, I had even more reason to brush up my knowledge of developmental norms and readiness cues. This book was EXACTLY what I needed! I love how it is written so well for both parents and professionals alike. It helped guide and reassure my choices for our little one, and will continue to do so as we go through each stage of feeding. The book is a fun, calming, and easy-to-read resource that I could absolutely share with families of clients. Highly, highly recommend it!
