The item is RAKE ROOF SNOW ALUM HANDLE 5FT with UPC: 055636801576. RAKE ROOF SNOW ALUM HANDLE 5FT is manufactured by: GARANT. RAKE ROOF SNOW ALUM HANDLE 5FT is a component that has the part number of: GPRR24E. Here are the product's dimensions: 3.0 feet in height. 62.5 feet in length. 3.0 feet wide. And weighs at around 1.63 lbs. Review: Snow Roof rake and Extensions - The snow rake and the extensions that I bought work great. I only wish I had purchased them earlier in the season. The assembly instructions were very clear. I would higly recommend this product to anyone that lives in an area that receives any measurable snow amounts. GREAT PRODUCT!!!! Review: Works as expected - Fits the Ames True Temper 1634500 Roof Snow Rake which I also bought. The True Temper Rake is actually made by Garant in Canada. Extension snaps in easily and doesn't come apart during use as do the 3 handles included with the rake. Note that the extension has a smooth silver finish and the handles included with the True Temper Rake are a crinkle brown (I assume for better grip), simply insert the extension closest to the rake. My only complaint is there is significantly more flex in the handle assembly when the extension handle is used. I guess the handles would need to me made from titanium to keep them light weight and more rigid, but that would be way too expensive.

Not as good as the original, but fits the rake fine
This was not as good as the original pieces of the roofrake. It is a little heavier and more flexible. Also it is plain rather than painted as described. It works, though, and it was cheaper than buying a new rake to make the rake longer. It did add to the distance I can get to from the ground, but now the rake is so long, when I rake the distant parts, the end hits the ground or snow pile and I take it off and put it on during the raking process. A longer rake does not solve all problems. After the 100+ inches of Boston snow without melting, it was a good buy as I never climbed on the roof to shovel the snow.

One or three sections???
So, is it supposed to be three sections or one? I purchased this item from Crazy Daves Tool Shed and only received one. The product description says "3 Sections Of 60", Total Length 16' 3-3/8". I paid $20.09 total with shipping for just one 60" section of handle. I called Crazy Daves about this. They said Amazon made a mistake in the product description. So, at $12.41 each x 3 = $37.23 plus shipping to get three sections? You can get the whole roof rake for $38.79 (item GPRR24)! That's ridiculous. Buyer beware, this is a rip off.

Design flaw.
The extension rod was manufactured by the roof-rake manufacturer. Somebody goofed. The roof rake itself has a connection bar that attaches it to the cross-piece rake, with two angle-bars that stabilize the cross-piece and attach it to the bar, using a bolt and nut. The connection bar therefore has a hole going through it through which the bolt slides. Somehow, the extension bar left out that hole, so you have to get a steel-cutting drill bit to make such a hole in order to accomplish the stabilizing functionality of the rake and prevent it from braking off the bar.

Roof rake is perfect
I received this rake 3 weeks before they projected... perfect... just before the snow storm. I love this rake. Quality product, nice and sturdy as compared to others. I did purchase the extra handle so i can reach 24' - makes a big difference. Nice sturdy plastic shovel section, won't damage roof like the metal ones. Great purchase. I even loaned it out to some co-workers who loved it too.

makes it safe
Instead of this Senior Citizen getting on a ladder with a shop broom, I can stay on the ground and reach 75% of the snow on the roof. With all the snow we had in north-central Illinois this winter, with the extensions, I did not have to worry about snow weight on the roof, nor the threat of "ice dams" damaging our home.

Three Stars
Works okay, but I wouldn`t want to use it on really heavy snow.
