The description of aluminum frame material a little misleading - actually thin stamped aluminum sheet bonded to a thick composite-looking material. Bends easily but can be flattened out easily. The frames look nice when installed. In my case they don't attach directly to the vehicle, but stand on the front and hang on the rear of the car and attach by two screws in stand-alone license plate brackets. The license plates provide most of the support but that seems to be adequate for my purpose. This is on a vintage car & not subject to much speed. The reason for the 4-star rating is that several small parts were missing from the package. I did email the seller as per instructions in the package, but their email response (from China) was confusing, i.e. they stated the Amazon order number was meaningless to them & I couldn't tell for sure if they were going to send the missing items to me anyway or were waiting for further information from me. The missing screws and valve stem caps aren't a big deal for me but I did want the seller to know that their packaging came through sealed tightly but didn't contain some small items that were included in their description. Overall I'm happy with the items.

Bought the license plate surround for my new toyota tacoma. Having served in the Army it makes me proud to fly the flag. The quality of all the items in this purchase were very good. It all EXCEEDED my expectations. One note - the license plate is not solid aluminum. It's a layered composite but the part you see is aluminum. I had to think about it for a minute because i didnt know if I should be disappointed. I attached it to my new truck and it looks awesome! I honestly believe that it will last longer than a solid aluminum one...having had one before. One note - it comes with plastic covers for the screws/bolts that you use to attach your plate...gives it a nice finished look. However, since the surround covers over part of the annual renewal sticker, you might have to take the plate off to put the new sticker on so didnt use the covers.

Love the way they look I do wish it had a little slot in the back for the license plate to fit into so it would lay flat and not kind of bend

There is only a thin veneer of aluminum on the frontof each plate. The rest is some kind of cardboard. It also won't enclose your license plate, this will sit on top of it. Cheap quality, do not recommend. Returned.
