Dulcolax Laxative 25 Tablets

No flavor really. Easy to swallow, works great, even better when you decided to indulge in a heavy meal, your poop comes out and you feel great. Stay hydrated well when taking this. I take maybe 2 tablets per week depending on my work schedule and how I eat during the week. I take it especially when I want to do junk food over indulgence and I want to cleanse my body of the extra fat, sweets, and salt. Everyone is a little bit different as I say this… One tablet works within 6 to 7 hours after I drink a whole bottle of water with the tablet. Makes the flow easier. Edit: I have seen some reviews that people have taken three tablets at one time, I think that is rather excessive. As one tablet was good enough, maybe even take one more tablet the day after. I definitely don’t recommend 3, I 100% from great experience suggests 1 tablet with lots of water is plenty... and maybe 1 more tablet the day after for more cleansing. 3 tablets is ridiculous.

Bisacodyl (generic name for Dulcolax) is a stimulant laxative that should be inexpensive because it’s been around prior to my pharmacy internship in the 1970’s. It’s a good stimulant laxative, works as advertised and is inexpensive - on Amazon But at my local chain RX, this package was nearly double the price at $10.99 I had enough time before my upcoming “test”to order them from Amazon. They arrived 5 days before the test - all good. Despite the safety, effectiveness and utility of these Dulcolax tablets, there has to be a better way to do these tests than using a mix of liquids and chemicals to produce “colon blow”. Time to call Elon Musk - he will figure it out. Hope that helps!

This product works, no doubt. It took almost 12 hours for me. Drank 3 pills at 6pm on Monday, it took effect on Tuesday at 5:30am. No cramps for me. A couple of hours after I took it, I felt bloated and like something was going on. I kept going to the restroom and nothing. 12 hours later though, wow! Cleaned me out for sure. Be patient, it will work, just not instantly. I highly recommend it. I think results will depend in your diet and how long you have been constipated. I am usually regular, just haven't been regular lately. This is why I needed this.

I took these as part of colonoscopy prep a few months ago (first step of a prep that also used PEG)...they work. When using for normal constipation, keep in mind these need some time to work (a few hours in my experience). I've found other products work much more quickly if you need immediate relief. Also, this is not the same as the stool softener from the same brand, which acts much more slowly.

Amazing product! I'm very regular but everytime that I change my diet drastically I get problems. I ate beef for 2 weeks for breakfast, lunch and dinner (no fiber, veggies or anything else) so of course I get constipated and couldn't poop for two weeks. I tried an enema first that didn't work (only cleaned a part) so I decided to give it a try to Dulcolax and I'm very happy with the results. I took 2 pills at 6pm and begin to feel some bowel movement but nothing happened so I take one more at 9pm and at 10pm finally poop but not all. The next day at 2pm had to visit the bathroom again and every 2 hours or so until 6pm when I get a little diarrhea but that was it. I never feel pain or cramps or any discomfort. I really recommend this for someone with sever constipation. I get another enema after just in case but I realized that it wasn't necessary, the pills did their work. Note: I drank lots of water and ate salads that was the recommendation to avoid discomfort.

This worked just like I hoped and it didn't make me sick or give me cramps. I took 2 pills and it worked within 3 hours. It made me go several times throughout the day, but I didn't mind because I planned ahead of time to stay home. I didn't experience any bad side effects, but the product will affect everyone differently. I have used this brand for years and have always liked it.

I got this a while back since whenever I pms I get so bloated and constipated. I’ve taken one before and it was fine. This was my first time taking 2 and instant regret. It wasn’t that it hurt it’s just that it’s 10pm and I need to stay near my bathroom. Now granted I’m sure my bloating is gone but I’d stay stick to 1. Works really well. A little too well.

I took these thinking it would cause minimal discomfort and help with constipation. 8 hours after taking it I thought they must not work. Boy was I wrong. Hour 9 hit and I started to feel cramps. Little did I know what was about to happen. It’s like the floodgates of hell opened and everything evacuated. My daughter told me to be brave because I was crying out in pain. I thought I was done and an hour later I was still stuck on the toilet. It was like hose turned on full blast and I couldn’t get it to stop. My butt was rawer than chicken from KFC. Do these work? Yes. But are they gentle? No. If you take these, make sure you have a toilet nearby that nobody will need to use and some butt paste.
