8" Pro Round Sensor Makeup Mirror, 5X + 10x Dual Magnification, Rechargeable and Cordless, Rose Gold Stainless Steel

Everyday when I sit down to put on my makeup I think "This mirror is the greatest". I had to buy another one as I accidentally knocked my other one off my makeup desk. I don't think Simplehuman makes this style anymore, which is a shame. I have purchased 3 for my best friends and one for my daughter as well. The lighting is perfect, it lets you know when it needs a charge, the small mirror is a must. Don't hesitate to buy, well worth the money!

The best mirror ever made! I love it. The light is just like outdoor natural light and you can change it if you download some options too. I am not technically savvy but may try it anyway. The little mirror is magnetic and you can either use it in the middle of the big one or hook it on the back easily. You charge it about 3 times a year is all you need to do. Amazing. I love all of simplehuman products.

It's rare that I find myself compelled to write a one-star review, but I really feel like it has been thoroughly earned in this case. Normally, I'm a big fan of Simplehuman products, and I trust their designs. It's part of why I bought this in the first place. This mirror, though, brought nothing but disappointment. It does not, at all, live up to their normal standards. There is almost nothing simple or human(e) about it. THE GOOD: The mirror is gorgeous, and the physical design is quite sleek and elegant. The rose gold is pretty, and the mirror looks great on my vanity. I also love the fact that it is cordless and rechargeable, rather than needing batteries. It is very bright and provides plenty of light, even in a dim room. THE BAD: I really wish that they just offered a physical way to turn the mirror on/off, instead of having to rely completely and exclusively on the sensor. There is already a power button on the back, so I don't see why it couldn't serve this function. It doesn't do this by default, and there is no option in the app to enable such a feature. Currently, holding down the power button serves only to completely shut the mirror down and disable the sensor. It cannot be used to turn the mirror on. Pressing it without holding it down does nothing. This seems like a silly lack of functionality. I also really wish this mirror were not magnified. I didn't realize how big of deal it would be to me, but even at 5x magnification, it's pretty difficult to see your whole face accurately. I would like it so much better if they offered a version with the main mirror at 1x and the supplementary magnetic mirror at 5x. (Personally, I find the 10x to just be overkill.) You cannot turn off the sensor while the mirror is charging, which is annoying but not the end of the world. The green ring that flashes non-stop while it's charging, on the other hand, is intolerably obnoxious. It means that, unless you want a brightly pulsing green light in your face while you're trying to sleep, you either can't keep the mirror in your bedroom, or you can't charge it at night. THE UGLY: The sensor design is just...ugh. It's kinda gimmicky to begin with, but if it worked properly, I wouldn't mind. Unfortunately, it does not. Half the time, the sensor doesn't recognize you, until you wave your hand in front of it. Then, the mirror turns off *constantly* if you are more than 3-4 inches away and/or not moving nonstop. There is *no* way to use the mirror other than with the sensor, and the sensor is very unreliable. And then...there's the app. Don't even get me started on the app. I don't know about the iPhone version -- maybe that one works fine -- but the Android version is a miserable trainwreck. Almost nothing is labeled, except with cryptic pictures, so you just have to press random buttons in the hope of figuring out what anything does. But even that's hard to do, because the app works so unpredictably that's it's hard to know what, if anything, was supposed to happen when you pressed that random button. And don't look to the mirror's manual for help, because the manual is one of the only simple things about this mirror, in that it barely exists and tells you almost nothing about anything. But let's say, by some miracle, in your random fumbling with buttons, you actually do get the app to recognize and connect to your mirror...well, unfortunately, that's still no guarantee it will actually function and allow you to change the mirror's settings. But let's say, in a further miracle, you do eventually get the app to do it's job and alter the settings...well, don't get too comfortable, because soon enough that sigh of relief will be replaced by a string of expletives when the app suddenly decides to stop recognizing the mirror for no discernible reason. Congratulations, you now get to perform the whole process all over again! Oh, and did you think that was all? It's not. The app will also crash randomly whenever it feels like it or the wind blows the wrong way. And since the app is the only way to use any of the fancy features you just spent a few hundred dollars on, most of the time, you will just have a nice, expensive, mirror-shaped paperweight. In the end, that's really where the true joy of using this mirror lies -- in that element of surprise, the never knowing what will work and when. What could be more exciting?

A little pricey but worth it.

Great quality product. Love adjustability and freedoms to move around. The super magnified portion will show you errant hairs to remove easily !

I bought the mirror one year ago and I really liked it. Lighting is great and it is just so convenient using it for make-up having the right light when you need it. So this is great ... but this did not stay like this. After like 8 months the intensity of the light was decreasing even after charging at certain times. Then I always had to keep in the charger to get this thing working. Then sending a note to customer service - they told me to reset the battery unscrewing the whole thing on the bottom of the mirror. This is ok to me doing this 1 time but I need to do this several times now to keep the mirror working ... so they need to work on the battery for me to ever write a positive review again, or just sent me an new - working one. I am not paying that kind of money anymore just to always resetting batteries.

I absolutely love this mirror. Its functional and has an amazing magnifier on the back to place on the front of the mirror. I got the rose gold. It's expensive but worth it!

Really good light and magnification. Took a minute to link to wifi and set up the app but the basic functions work without it.

Bought as a gift for my wife who finds it an excellent mirror with great clarity to the reflection, good lighting from the circular bulb and the convenient presentation of two levels of magnification. Build quality is also high. Overall, this is more expensive than any other comparable mirrors but worth it.

Bought for my wife who loves it. Best mirror she has ever had. Not linked it to her phone yet but hoping to do so in the future. Good price and although these are not cheap they are worth it. Wife highly recommend this mirror.

Absolutely brilliant light…I have had my Revlon mirror for such a long time but as my eyesight has got worse this is perfect! Fab price too!

Doesn’t stay charged for long. I am waiting to hear back from simplehuman but no response. Terrible customer service
