I've been taking a prostate care complex for a couple of years now. Something that contains saw palmetto, along with some other additives that help with prostrate problems. I've been doing well with it. Taking it regularly has reduced my getting up at night to hit the bathroom from around three times, to just one early in the morning. I was pretty satisfied with that. Then I discovered this stuff about a month ago. Though it is advertised as a supplement for cholesterol control, it also is well known to help with an enlarged prostate as well. Believe me when I tell you that as far as I am concerned, it is downright wonderful for such an aggravating problem. After just a couple of days of taking this mega strength formula once a day in the morning, (along with the complex), I started to notice that I didn't even have to get up early anymore. I mean this stuff now has me sleeping in like a teenager again. And I have not noticed a single side effect from its use. Just fabulous results. When I am out anywhere I am more likely now to be the last one that needs a mens room. Really guys, this stuff along with my regular prostate complex is the best one two punch I have discovered for dealing with getting on in years and putting more magazines in the bathroom. I take one in the morning along with the complex and that is all she wrote. In all honestly, I don't even know if it is necessary to take such a mega dose to get such good results. Or if I even need to take the complex along with it. I chose this blend for I like the brand, and the price is good. A 2 month supply in one bottle. Perhaps sometime I will play with the dose a little and see if one tablet every other day is enough. Or perhaps cut down the dose of the complex. But for now I am enjoying the wonderful independence of not always worrying about where the mens room is, and, sleeping in comfortably like I haven't done in years. In conclusion, if you have a similar problem I highly recommend a good prostate complex containing saw palmetto, along with Beta Sitosterol. All I can say is it's worked fabulously for me and I give it my highest recommendation... : )

I've used this product for 6 weeks and I couldn't be happier. I'm in my middle 50's, in excellent health, but was extremely frustrated waking up 2 to 3 times every night to go to the bathroom. Even when I'd pee, I felt like I'd need to pee again. Additionally, I became obsessed about finding a bathroom immediately before a movie, dinner or just general activities...and I had to sit on the aisle every plane flight. If I "held it" I'd usually get a pain in my lower back, often causing me to feel crappy with almost flu-like symptoms. A few times it got bad enough that my doc gave me antibiotics which helped, but didn't cure the core issue. Two months ago, I had an awful time and everything suddenly got much worse. I decided to dig in and do a lot of research. I learned about beta sitosterol as well as saw palmetto and other products. After several days of research and talking with my doc and another doc friend, I started this regimen: 1) Source Naturals Mega Strength Beta Sitosterol - 1 pill 3 times per day; 2) Life Extension Ultra Natural Prostate Formula - 1 pill morning and 1 at dinner; 3) 8400 mg. Nature's Bounty cranberry - 2 pills morning and 2 after dinner. My experience: The first two days, I felt a bit off/weird (not better) and then had several days where I felt really great, thinking I was cured. But...this "great" feeling decreased during the next week where I was "improved" but was still having issues. Then....over the next several weeks there was a constant and dramatic improvement. The four key changes are: a) I now sleep completely through the night - unless I happen to drink a lot late in the evening; b) I can go about half a day without feeling the need to go; c) After I pee, I no longer feel like I still have to go; and d) I can "hold it" with no problem at all. I've also stopped thinking about going to the bathroom and my life is back to what I remember 10 or 15 years ago. I don't know if my regimen is overkill, but I'm so happy with the results that I'm not changing a thing. I took the time to write this because of my frustration in trying to find good info...so I hope this detail helps others who are experiencing similar issues. UPDATE: I've been following the same regimen for over a year now and I'm one happy guy. I talked with my doc last week and he was impressed (almost shocked) - actually wrote down specifics so he could recommend to others. The biggest life change is my ability to sleep through the night...but I also love that I don't have to pee as often during the day and even when I have to go, I can hold it easily for a couple hours with no problem at all.....

These are large capsules so be advised. There is a large amount of phytosterols per tablet. Good product.

I read somewhere that Beta Sitosterol is an important supplement to take for nourishing hair follicles. Granted, I'm taking this along with several other hair growth products, but based on this being listed as one of the most important, the results that I've achieved are nothing short of astounding. I've been completely bald since I was in college. About two months ago, my urologist prescribed Finasteride for an enlarged Prostate. Finasteride is the same drug that's used to treat Male Pattern Baldness, albeit in a much lower strength. By all accounts, it takes at least 6 months to see results from this drug. So, the fact that my hair is growing back, has to be attributed to the nutritional supplements that I'm taking. While I can't say with 100% certainty that the Beta Sitosterol is responsible for the regrowth of my hair, I can't discount it either. In addition, I just had a lipid profile done, and my cholesterol was the lowest that it's ever been. That has to be from taking this supplement. So, the fact that I'm growing hair, combined with the drastic reduction in my cholesterol, makes me a big fan of this product. The only downside to this supplement is that the tablets are very large. Unless you're careful, it's easy to get them stuck in your throat. With that said, this is what I consider to be a super supplement, definitely worthy of 5 stars.

Been on this a month. Urinating 3x per night went down to 1 or none in just one month. This stuff works. Finally getting my sleep back.
