I needed a USB-C extension cable to extend a USB hub for my Desktop Workstation, so I could have easy access for things like USB pen drives, SD cards, External hard drives etc. - but my USB hub has an 8-inch/20cm cable permanently attached, so I needed a USB-C extension. This extension does the job very well and no issues whatsoever. · Build quality is excellent with no flaws to be found in fit or function. · Works great - I didn't notice any speed issues. · The product has a beautiful appearance, good quality and easy to use. 👉 The cable came in a nice box, which you don’t need to keep – but it also had a business card size notice in the box that caught my eye: It mentioned that the USB 2.0 connectors requires specific orientation – So, when you are using USB 2.0 devices (mouse, keyboard etc.) - it matters which way your USB-C cable is plugged in. I did some tests, and can confirm that USB 2.0 devices require a specific connector orientation. I have USB 3.0 and 2.0 pen drives, and if the extension cable is plugged in one way, both types work, but reverse the connector, and only the USB 3.0 drives work. ✔ Pros: + Fast charging / Excellent data transfer speed + Durable / Sturdy - feels like I could use it as climbing rope + Braided ✖ Cons: - No complaints ( I will update this post if any quality issues arise ) Overall, this cable is doing exactly what it's supposed to do, and more specifically what I need it to do. Highly recommended!

Fantastic little cable. I can never understand why the cables on USB-C docks and dongles are so short. I wanted one single connection for my MacBook Pro so that when I sit at my desk, I can plug in power, monitor, usb devices etc all in one. My dock was great, but brought with it a mess of cables and bulk of all the devices all connecting into it. Buying an extension it needed to be solid, good value and just the right length. On looking at the many cables it soon became clear that a common issue was power delivery & a loss of high-speed transfer rates, along with video issues. Not this cable! Perfect plug-and-play. Cable feels solid and dock is tucked out the way, no fuss no bother. Everything works as it should, perfect power delivery, high speeds and all peripherals working as normal.

Using this to connect a USB-C hub to a macbook pro M1 so the hub isn't pulling on the macbook port. I'm using the hub to provide HDMI video (1080p) to a monitor, plus USB from the monitor's USB hub, and powering the macbook. Works fine, but as others have mentioned, it does only work with USB 2 devices like my monitor's hub one way around. There is a card in the box that mentions this. I've marked one side of the female connector and the male side of the USB-C hub with permanent marker which solves the problem. Quality is good, solid connectors, connect with a reliable sounding click. Braided cable seems to be nice quality. The cable does bend well but seems to have some rigidity to it so when you bend it, it stays in that position. Fine for my setup, I quite like that feature in fact, but might be a challenge if there's not much room to plug it in. Dropped one star due to the need to be oriented the right way for usb2.

You get what you pay for, and whilst there are cheaper leads available this one is worth the extra few pence. It appears to be really strong an durable and the lead it's self is far thicker than some. I am using it as an extension for my lap top power supply (see image) and it work fine with no noticeable heating of the lead. Also comes well packaged with a handy card to remind you of the specific USB 2.0 orientation and a warranty registration card. You can get the lead in 4 different sizes and six different colours all in all a great little product.

As cables go this feels like a very good quality USB-C extension. It holds the cable it is extending with a nice positive connection and so far it's running a fairly intensive number of connections via my docking station without a hitch

There's plenty of other reviews out there for this, but I wanted to throw in my own specific use case, as I was sceptical as to whether it would work as advertised. I have a 2019 MacBook Pro connected to an Anker PowerExpand+ 7 in 1 USC-C PD Ethernet Hub. The cable on the hub is incredibly short and I wanted something to allow me to hide it away under the desk. This extension cable is exactly what I needed. It's still working perfectly with power, HDMI out and a USB-C cable connected to a GoPro as a webcam all functioning properly. Cable feels good quailty, but I've only had it a few hours so I'll withhold judgement on how long it will last. Now to see if it works with a right-angle adapter!

Does what it says

I bought this as an extension to extend the USBC cable connecting my mini hub to laptop. the hubs cable is very short (10cm) and I wanted to be able to position hub better. After initially connecting and deciding it only worked with hubs HDMI , I noticed the little label that points out you need to make sure it is the right way round when used with USB2/3- turned the female end round and hey presto, hub fully supported - ethernet, audio and USBx3. Happy to recommend - it seems very sturdy and durable.
