Dalen Tree Stake Kit for Young Tree Protection

After about 2 years on the tree, two of the cords have snapped/been cut but they're plenty long and easily retied again. No problems with the stakes or the nylon loops.

Last summer I had planted 25 evergreens to make a natural fence in my back property. During the winter the trees on the ends really took a beating with the wind. There was nothing to protect the trees; I was back there stomping them back into the frozen ground. So I purchased these tree stakes to help my poor evergreens. They worked great!! My trees are still standing, the stakes are in the ground and they never looked better. The package comes with 3 stakes and ties; I only used 2. One on each tree and it worked perfectly!! Can't beat it for the $$. Very pleased!!

Bottom line: it does the job. But be aware - the cord comes apart easily, making it difficult to thread through the eyelets; the amount of cord is not enough for all three stakes, it’s more like enough for 2 1/2. If these don’t deter you, I recommend.

So the installation instructions weren’t clear. I don’t understand by a long strap cloth strap was sent, and the instructions just implied that it gets wrapped around the tree. Okay, so I’m supposed to tie the rope around a that, then? That makes the installation tricky. So not only did the strap roll up and loosen so that it fell down the tree, but the stake was found to be split. It wasn’t split when I hammered it into the ground. Want a refund but there’s no option that I can find without contacting the seller. Get a different tree kit

I have not used this yet. Our ground is still frozen from winter, but I have to say it looks very sturdy and solid from the package. It looks like it is going to be very easy to install. This will give our young tree that we planted last year sturdiness. I made a make shift one but it needs to be replaced.

I let my rose tree grow too much. During a storm with high winds, the tree bent over due to being top heavy. Thankfully, it didn't break. I bought this strap kit to get it back upright once I trimmed back the excess. It's working quite well. The tree is upright again and the supports are keeping it that way.

Ropes slip all the time, end up untying themselves. I knot the rope well, then it slides down the tree after a few hours. Not useful for what I bought it for. A waste of money.
