The safe is made of high strength steal and the door has a great deadbolt system. The lighted door is handy to see the contents inside the safe and the backup batter is great and if all else the key works great. The safe is a great value and quality for the price. It has multiple option to open if the batteries go dead. It is rugged enough to store some valuables in and it has options to anchor to floor or wall. I am very happy with the purchase and would recommend it.

Many years ago, I got a nice shelf safe with a programmable keypad and a solid double-key entry. I like that safe. I STILL have that safe. When it came time to get a second safe (Hey, nice to have more stuff to put in a safe, amirite?), I went looking for a safe just like that one and... I didn't find one. Instead, I found that pretty much all the shelf safes sold on Amazon at this general price point are this design. After some deliberation, I settled on the Sdstone Safe Box (even though I could have had any of the "weird name, same design" safes out there). Right off the bat, I gotta tell ya that this safe FEELS cheap. Whereas my old safe feels pretty solid and the hardware seems well-constructed, THIS safe... Well, it feels slapped together and overall not very durable. The front keypad/lock-unlock assembly is plastic and the overall metal used to construct the safe seems thin. In addition, I've had to reprogram the safe a few times because it'll just... spontaneously reset itself. Not a real good look, safe. Anyway, I don't have any confidence that this safe would keep a determined person from cracking it using even basic tools. If you're hunting for positives, it's... roomy inside? I dunno, Clearly quality at this price point for safes is not what it used to be so if you're buying a safe to ACTIVELY keep someone from getting to your stuff, you should probably spend more on a better safe. If I were you, I'd pass on this safe.
