I got this for my Grandson who is 5 and he spent all evening on it as well as the next day putting it together . He didn't want any help from his Dad and then sent me a picture of it . He said it was his favorite gift he got for Christmas......

This lego set is a little bit more pricy than the police set of the same size that i've seen. Don't pay more than $80 for this set. Wait for price to change to around $80. I've been watching for a week now and it started off at almost $100 and went to $81, and is now $79 at the time of this writing. This set is well worth $100, (that's what i paid) but don't. I also saw it on sale at Target in Orlando Florida for $75. The set is awesome. It has a lot of pieces at 752. It has a few unique pieces. The 16x16 dark bluish gray baseplates (it has 3 of them) are a pretty rare piece on Brick Link. The garage doors are crazy expensive on bricklink. Same with most of the windows. All the other pieces i've seen are pretty common. I love how lego adds little things to the set like pans for cooking food, sinks to wash your hands in and out side lights. I always think the buildings without walls look silly but my son doesn't seen to care, and it keeps their piece count down. The truck on this set is a really fun truck. It has an awesome ladder design. The only thing i think they chinked on was a gap in between the rear tires, it's hard to see in the photos but there is nothing there, it's open air and you can see through it. It bothers me because it looks stupid, there should be a red piece there like all the other wheel wells. I'll try to post a picture with what i'm talking about. It would have been an easy fix, but lego often skimps where they can. A must have addition to this set is the 60002 fire truck. With that truck you'll have two different fire truck designs and ladder systems. The helicopter leaves something to be desired but it's a small add-on that my son loves. I'm buying two of these sets and putting them together for a large firestation. I'm going to have 3 double length stalls. I'm also going to buy windows for my walls to complete the fire station. I hate the open walls. O yeah i forgot to mention in all of the pictures onthe box it sure looks like there is a side walk in the front of the fire station included. It isn't. This is kind of decieving. Most lego boxes i have seen show the set with no added on legos, this one doesn't ever. Check the box you'll see what i mean.

This fire stations is amazing!!! I bought it for my almost-five-year-old daughter. My husband and I put it together because our daughter is still too young to do it herself. Well, the truth is that I did most of it LOL... My husband put together the helicopter, I did everything else but we both had so much fun!! I was a huge fan of LEGO when I was a little girl and this project reminded me of my childhood years. Back then there weren't this level of detail, though. The sliding garage doors in the LEGO fire station are my favorite feature! I also love that not all the firefighters are men. There's at least one female firefighter which is wonderful to show little girls they can grow up to be anything they want to be. My daughter loves playing with the little people and she moves them around, opens and closes the doors, takes off the helmets and put them back on... She likes it so much that she decided to put in on her night stand right next to her bed. We're keeping the manuals with the instructions and when she's older will take it all apart and let her put it together again :-).

As with all things Lego, this set is an exceptional item for constructive play. My 7 year old grandson was thrilled to get this for Christmas and put it together in under an hour. He has played with it constantly since then, and it is a great addition to the other city buildings I and others have purchased for him. The price was better than it was on the Lego site and although we all know Legos are expensive, they are well-worth the money as they are well-made and outlast most other toys out there, both because they spark a kid's imagination and because they are a great way for kids to learn about structures, math and reading directions. I would definitely consider buying this product for other Lego builders in my family!!
