Excellent product. Heavy duty and well made. I have four of these holding a 12x13 foot steel door and it functions flawlessly. Smooth swing. These must be welded or drilled. I welded mine but machine bolts would have worked too.

Seemed like the cheapest option for me to make a hinge for a spare tire carrier. I was a bit worried as it would take some vertical force against the hinge, which is not exactly how it should be used. I modified the strap and welded it to some 3/16th 2x2 box steel and it's held up amazingly so far. It fully supports the weight of all the steel and a 33" spare. Took a beating on the trail and still no issues. I am pleasantly surprised!

I bought these to weld into my truck bed , to create a tilt bed. They are thick 1/4" steel. There is a stainless bolt with two flimsy plastic inner washers and a nylon locking bolt. As they come the hinge has slop, a bit of wiggle. I added two additional thick washers between the U shape and the pivot. So Bolt, U, washer, flimsy plastic, pivot, flimsy plastic, washer, U, Nylon locknut. I hope that makes sense. It took out the majority of the slop from the joint. I also greased the bolt well. For the price I think they are a decent buy. I'm happy.

Very sturdy. There is some play in it. I drilled out the hinge about 1/32" and was able to use the next bigger bolt which took out most of the play and made them very smooth in use.

The flat part of the tongue is 2.25" wide by 3.00" long. The steel is 1/4" thick. There is 3/4" between the bar around the hinge pin and the hinge pin. I drilled a hole in the flat area to receive my tow bar's connection pin. I used 2 U clamps to connect this hinge to my Artic Cat snowmobile's back handle (this should work with any snowmobile) . This hinge is perfect for my needs!.

Easy to weld heavy duty hinge , however for my application a side open trailer tailgate it has a good bit of “ play” when opened. I’ve used a barrel hinge for a similar application with no slop or drop..The tailgate drops when opened an must be lifted up to get to latch..

Wouldn't pay more than the $20 Cad it's currently listed at. Light duty but does the job. It's a little loose

Needed a strong hinge and this was ideal for the job I did. Having the grease nipple was an added bonus.
