Q: I have kiln paper , do I need either paper or wash for metal clay?

I'm not sure--I don't work with metal clay. Your best bet is to check with the maker of the clay to see what they recommend.

Q: I used this in a ceramic pendant mold. The glass came out with little spikes on the edges, and the back is covered in kiln wash. What went wrong?

I think your fuse temperature wasn't high enough if it has rough edges. I stopped using this kiln wash because it does stick to your glass. You have to soak in vinegar and then scrub with Scotch Brite or steel wool to get it off.

I use it instead of kiln paper. It works fine. Every 2 0r 3 uses, I recoat the suface, however

I only use it for low fire about 1400 I don’t know about high fire I’m sure it tells on carton tub

Good product. Used it to keep glass from sticking to the shelf. Fair enough price for this brand., and of course, excellent delivery time when I needed it.

the small pail it was in didn't seal-no tape around the top and the powder was all in the bottom of the bag-dangerous-I returned it
