Harper Caul Baby: A Novel : Jerkins, Morgan: desertcart.ae: Books Review: From beginning to end I found myself trying to guess what would happen next& I'd guess wrong more than right & then ending???? Omg. We read it for my book club & everyone loved it! Review: I'm just starting this book and am already insulted by the first chapter. That author expects readers to see some reality in Laila having just given birth to a stillborn, and taking that dead infant and running several blocks to Josephine's house is nothing short of preposterous! . . . and further that Denise participated in pushing her bleeding 15-minute post-partum sister and dead niece in a wheel chair through the streets of NY, while none of the cops, or EMT's (or passersby, for that matter) was able to stop her or otherwise intervened serve to diminish any hint of validity the author presumed to present in the rest of the story. Culturally, the notion of the caul is something close to sacred and I'd looked forward to seeing the topic handled in a manner that spoke to its importance. This story, unfortunately, serves only to bastardize the concept and spread profoundly erroneous ideas of its purpose and how one is blessed w/the caul. Very VERY disappointing

This book is amazing! I have read several books by another author regarding this topic. I was so amazed by the amount of information she provides in one book. I was so impressed I purchased two more copies for other family members and shared my copy! I would love to know If the author was born with one!!!!!!
