So far so good... for slicing spam.
The wires are a little more loose than I anticipated, so the slices are not perfect... depending on where they land, there is 1-2mm of variability between each wire. Not the worst thing in the world, especially for me... but if I were expecting to use this for slicing cheese or other foods to make a fancy-pretty spread, I would get frustrated with the results pretty quick. - I like my spam slices on the thin side... so I make the first cut... reset... move the slices over just a smidge... then slice again. That works pretty good for the end result I wanted. - I'd buy it again (assuming it doesn't fail in the first couple years of use).

Plastic wire frame breaks
I've had a couple of the "luncheon Meat" (Spam) slicers with the metal arm / wire mount and for some reason on all of those either the wires are too loose to start with, or they slip through the crimped metal retainer and become so loose as to be useless after a very short time. So I stumbled across this one and saw the wires appeared to be embedded in the plastic frame, so there would be no way for them to slip, loose. And for over a year it appeared my hopes were confirmed. I suspect those complaining the wires come loose because the frame bends ignored the warning to "HAND WASH ONLY" and put it in the dishwasher where the heated drying softened the plastic allowing the tension of the wires to distort the frame and then they would be loose. Because I only hand wash things like this the wires did not come loose, but at about 18 months of age when I picked it up there was a "pop" sound and the plastic frame had broken 2 places, so now its just junk. If this was about half the price (like the wire framed ones) I wouldn't mind so much, I'd buy 2 this time and just be as gentle as possible, but at nearly the current price I could buy two of the other "metal frame" ones and hope I get one whose wires stay tight.

Makes 12 even slices. Best ever!
This slicer works perfectly. It’s a little more expensive than the other slicers but it cuts spam in a nice narrow slice. I turn and slice again and again for perfect dices for fried rice. Make the job go by quickly and the cubes are the best size. Highly recommend!

Spam Slicer
Works well for slices and dicing. SPAM. Go slow as its still only plastic. Great for the price. Keep in mind the number of cutting wires. This has 11, for 12 thinner slices, whereas 8 wires will give you thicker slices. I use an 11 and 10 wire slicer. Update: Downgraded the score due to the wires stretching out of shape and not slicing all the way through. Ordered a 10 wire slicer from a different manufacturer, and it is holding up fine.

Works as promised. Slicing SPAM is a breeze with this.
I bought this to slice SPAM but can see many different foods it would work with. It worked for my SPAM very well with very little effort. Wires are holding up so far and I'm glad I bought this particular product because it is very solid/a quality product. The plastic isn't "flimsy" it's a very sturdy plastic. I can see where after months or years of use the wires -might- get loose or stretched, but I believe I'll be getting years of use from this before that happens.

Did not last long.
The wires broke the second time I used it.

Works great on Spam or similar soft luncheon meat when used carefully
Some people have complained of the slicer's flimsiness, breakage of the plastic base and cutting wires, but I had no problem after as of now one use. I think the key is to limit use to soft products like Spam and to slice very, very slowly until completely cut. I did this, and had no problem with either of the complaints previously mentioned. It worked very well, cutting identical slices of Spam (of course the end pieces will be slightly thinner and smaller due to the shape of the block of meat). To me anyway, the product lives up to its name and allows the user to avoid those odd slices. I also like that it cuts 12 slices instead of 9-11 thicker slices like other slicers. I recommend it. Just don't force it or use block cheese, which is harder than Spam. Washes easily.
