Mumba Dockable Case for Nintendo Switch (2017 Release), [Blade Series] TPU Grip Protective Cover Case Compatible with Nintendo Switch Console and Joy-Con Controller (Clear)

This case legitimately has it all! Mumba really took the time to figure out what their customers wanted in a case, because this thing is almost perfect! There are a few negatives about this case, and if I could I’d give this 4.5 starts instead of a full 5, but the cons don’t bother me enough to take off a full star. The pros definitely outweigh the cons! PROS: -Takes some wiggling, but it IS fully Dockable (using the OG Nintendo Dock) -There is a hole for the charging cords to fit through, so you don’t have to take it off to charge via cord -You can detach/switch out joy cons! -The case is thicc! It seems to be a tough, textured material that has (so far) withstood several drops and dog feet -The case has a really cool look to it as well, the design on the back is attractive to both guys and girls (I’ve received compliments from both), and the larger, textured handle grips feel 10x more comfortable than without them -Fits in my travel BIONIK Switch bag, no need to take it off on trips CONS: -Pass through hole isn’t big enough to house the bluetooth adapter from Genki (or most of the other brands), or likely most other adapters -Case is in the large side! meaning if you have a smaller/more simple day trip case where you’re not bringing cords and accessories, just the switch and a game or two, don’t expect to fit this case into it. I have the Hori aluminum Zelda hard case, and the Mumba will not fit. However it is lightweight and snaps onto the switch easily, so I throw it into my day bag and snap it on when I take out my switch. That might be a deterrent for some, but for me as long as it’s easy and fast, I still use it every day. -As stated earlier, it will dock in MY OG dock, but I’ve seen some reviews stating it doesn’t in theirs. I have the Switch V1, I’m not sure if there’s a difference in docks V1 vs V2, but there’s a small chance it won’t fit in yours. Also amazon has a great return policy. -Another thing with the dock, I have to really finagle the switch to get it to settle into the dock properly. I’ve went to play switch after a night of supposed charging, only to find out that I hadn’t seated it properly and it hadn’t been charging all night. This could be due to the fact that I also have a glass screen protector on the front, and between the thickness of the case + the thickness of the screen protector, it’s just a really really tight fit. But I’m not going to leave my screen bare, because I’m afraid the Switch wiggling will eventually scratch my screen. So if you’re like me and have all the protection, then be prepared to spend a minute or two to make sure the Switched is properly seared and charging.

I love my new grip case! It looks very nice and is super lightweight, sturdy, and very ergonomic and comfortable for those longer handheld gaming sessions! Hugs the Switch nicely; not too lose or too tight. The charging port, cartridge slot, headphone jack, power & volume buttons are all still very easily accessible! The material is hard but with a very slightly soft feel, which makes it pretty easy to get on and off if need be. The fact that the joycons are able to be swapped out without taking the case off is an extra bonus! The cherry on top of it all is the fact that it DOES DOCK. I was skeptical at first due to a lot of the reviews claiming it's not actually dockable. Well, it is for me. Pics included! I do not have a screen protector, so I'm not sure if that will affect it docking as much as people say it will. YES, it is a bit tight. NO, it is not that bad. I don't feel like I'm going to damage anything by docking it with the case. It takes a slight push down in the dock, due to the very slight lip on the bottom of the case around the charging port. That's it. Just don't pretend you're the Hulk and you'll be ok lol. I mostly got this case for the handheld comfort, but the ability to dock is really awesome since I charge my Switch pretty much exclusively on the dock. The only thing this case doesn't have is quick access to the kickstand and SD card slot. For me, that's just fine. I barely ever play in tabletop mode, and when I do, I have a portable stand from Five Below that I use instead of the "kickstand" (if you can even call it that lol) on the Switch. Overall, it's a great case if you want something for extra comfort that is also able to be docked!!!!

This product is exactly as described by so many best of lists! It was delivered amazingly fast, ordered at about 8 pm had it on my system by about 1 pm the next day. Snaps on easily and the material has a really nice feel, sturdy but doesn't seem like it will scratch or gouge your console. Has a "softer" plastic finish that almost feels like a thin rubber or silicon to me with the carbon fiber style areas on the back giving a little texture and grip. It seems like it would work with some thin skins if you have them installed but I can't say for sure, I would say yes though just my opinion. Joy-cons slip on and off perfectly and I actually prefer with the case on bc removing them before was kind of flimsy and awkward imo, now I have a stable handle and they just slide out. Slips into the dock easily and snugly, takes very minimal pressure to get docked, again imo with the case is a massive upgrade bc I feel like it docks more stable, especially noticable when switching games. Overall LOVE this product! Now to my little gripe and it's minor but significant, for all the protection and amazing design two things stood out to me: 1) The ergonomic grip design tapers off toward the top to allow easy access to the Joy-con and release button but this leaves the top half of the system to rest on the ZL/ZR button edges and the edge of the Joy-con itself whenever the system is set down, like I said minor but unprotected. 2) It doesn't come with any kind of screen protector, I know it doesn't say it does but just for all the protection you're obviously going for in purchasing this product, plus with this product specifically you're still going to be docking/undocking, why not just protect the screen?

Deze case maakt het vasthouden van de Switch met mijn grote handen een stuk prettiger. Helaas past hij niet met case in de dock zoals aangegeven bij dit product. Je zult hem er dus af moeten halen. Dat is niet veel werk en het scheelt dat het een buigzaam materiaal is waardoor breken vrijwel onmogelijk is (siliconen/rubber oud)

It's perfect—just make sure to select the correct model. All the cutouts align perfectly with my OG Switch V2. The only thing is, you need to apply a little pressure when docking, but that won't harm your device—it's just the resistance from the cover brushing against the dock.

Estamos encantados con la funda, es cómoda, no calienta la consola según juegas, da sensación de seguridad ya que sabes que está protegida en caso de caídas. Tenemos puesto cristal templado en la consola y encaja sin problema, y aunque también encaja en el doc para cargar, hay que hacer algo de fuerza por lo que la sacamos de la funda para cargar y sin problemas. Más que contentos.

I was apprehensive at first at paying so much for a case since most are made in china with very low quality. However, this case is not what I would term low quality. It is very sturdy and provides additional comfort to hold the device for prolonged periods. Im very happy with the bright vibrant color and the fit to the device. It holds it tight enough to protect but not tight enough that it might damage the console. Im very happy that i now did decide to buy it even if i did have to wait a few days for it to arrive. I will update this review if i find anything bad about the case after a few days use
