Lithonia Lighting Outdoor Flush Mount LED Ceiling Light, Exterior Ceiling Lighting Fixture, 4000K Cool White Light, Dark Bronze (OLCFM 15 DDB M4)

I purchased these lights for the front and back porch. Since they are mounted so high, we needed something that didn't require frequent light bulb changes. When I received them, I installed them on the same day. When night time came, I was very pleased with the light output and how it looked. I would purchase them again as well as recommend them to friends.

Used these in our outdoor kitchen. High quality commercial grade lights.

Light arrived with slight damage (picture) but I used it anyway because no one will see that high up. I found the piece in the box, so this may be a packing issue. I replaced another LED fixture that I’d purchased at a big box store. It seems like that was just a few years ago, so I was disappointed with the short life. This new one is more expensive, but does appear to be better quality on the LED components. Time will tell. Long life is a critical part of the valuation proposition. If something goes wrong, you must replace the entire light, not just a bulb.Another reviewer mentioned the importance of avoiding water intrusion, and another mentioned not receiving a seal. My parts list did not indicate a seal. Installation requires a bead of silicone caulk, which is not included. Have a tube of caulk handy when you plan to open the box and install. One reviewer said an electrician could not separate the light - that is tricky, and required a second set of hands. With two people, it was fairly easy. Several have mentioned the VERY small piece that screws in to secure the cover. My biggest fear was losing that.The supplied screws were too thick to mount the cross bar to the existing box. Luckily, I could reuse the old screws. Wiring is very obvious and easy to connect.My biggest challenge was getting this flush to the porch ceiling. Instructions say leave 1.25” of bolt exposed. That was set, right from the box. I wound up reducing that some, to get the whole unit closer to the ceiling. Still, it was not flush. This might be a function of my ceiling flatness (lack of) but that is not obviously an issue, and old light was much flusher. Again, since this is mounted so high, I concluded it did not matter. As I had a brand new tube of silicone caulk, I just used that liberally to fill in the gaps. This forced me to wait overnight for the caulk to dry completely before I finished the job, because I did not want to break the seal while twisting on the light cover.Glad that the light worked. Toyed with the idea of testing it somehow before installing - with all of the caulk, it would be a big pain to discover a problem AFTER installation.The design looks great - clean and modern. The light was bright the first night, before I added the cover. Even with the cover, I’m sure this will be ample light for my 65 square foot entryway porch. Again, the LED component appeared superior to the one I replaced, including a greater number of diodes. Now I just need them to last at least as long as advertised (maker touts a 5-year warranty).

Instructions that came in the box were incorrect and incomplete ending in misguiding and confusing the installer. Customer support does not seem to care. At 1pm Pacific Time of Friday the customer support line tells me that they are closed and open during working hours of Mon-Fri 7 AM to 8 PM !!! A 10-15 min installation tuned into 1&1/2 hour exercise. Cannot recommend to others.

Did I mention it’s very bright?! This was easy to replace my original porch light with. Wired it up in about 10 minutes. My wife used to complain about the previous light because she leaves for work in the dark and returns home in the dark. Not anymore! Because, this light is VERY BRIGHT, in case I didn’t mention that before!

Had 2 of these, they look nice but are very sensitive. Anytime we lose power it dies and has to be replaced
