If you're wondering why this product commands the price that it does may I explain that it's because it works. The quality is off the hook. If you were using this item daily, year round, then I would suggest that you do something a bit more sensible. But for those of us that use it a few weeks at a time each year, it will last a lifetime. Its incredibly easy to use. So easy, that at times you wonder if it's doing it's job. I cannot recommend this product highly enough.

Worked great. Worth the money but know that I will need to be cleaned in the field or it will not pump and I needs to be cleaned after each time out. I wish I knew that ahead of time. I would buy again and it is worth the effort.

Very dissappointed, this product arrived damaged. The outer packaging and the product was scratched/ damaged.

What makes this worth 300.00, a sawyer water filter cost 30.00 and will filter 100,000 gallons. To me it just seems 300.00 is pushing it for the price

This product filters about 50,000 liters of water and that happens to be the amount of water I will consume for the rest of my life. So I bought this mostly for psychological reasons with water pipe failure in the news all the time. Sure, you could always boil your water and add a pinch of disinfectant bleach but you can take this product with you on trails too and pump dirty water and get instant fresh water. It's about the length of a candle and thick as a rolling pin.

Easy to use, Clean and set up. Really compact and doesnt take much space. I prefer this colour but its a but of a waste to pay extra to have the “black” one.

Super Filter mit sehr guter Qualität. Eben Katadyn...Leistungsfähigkeit bleibt bei regelmäßiger Reinigung/Wartung langfristig erhalten...Gute Pflege der Dichtung vorausgesetzt.

Mon premier filtre Katadyn pocket acheté en 1984 pour l'Afrique sac au dos puis l'Asie du sud-est en 1990,1991 et 1992 sac au dos aussi. J'étais jeune et un peu couillon toutes les flaques avec ou sans animaux morts y sont passées. Jamais aucun souci de santé. Prêté à un indélicat qui ne me l'a jamais rendu, je viens de le racheter pour mon fils aîné parti en vadrouille avec des copains. L'ergonomie a été grandement améliorée, la qualité est toujours la même. Il n'y a franchement pas mieux comme filtre portable. Prévoyez des comprimés de chlore ions d'argent de la même marque pour conserver longtemps l'eau où pour la sécuriser contre les virus. La céramique poreuse de 0,2 microns n'est efficace que contre les bactéries mais laisse passer les virus plus petits. Outil absolument indispensable pour tout voyageur qui compte sortir des sentiers battus ou qui veut simplement être rassuré sur ce qu 'il boit.
