Installed and been using it for few weeks and it works well. I didn't like the welding part makes me question if it is genuine

Great exhaust, easy to weld and low profile enough to be tucked in as close to the chassis as possible. Deep tone from the exhaust but a bit of droning above 3.5k rpms in my specific application. My car as a resonator and a 2nd cat delete so that might be the cause and not the actual muffler.

While most are only concerned with sound, it is important to note two other key factors when purchasing a muffler. First off, this is a straight through muffler, so there is no restriction. This means it will perform much better than any chambered muffler, such as F̶l̶o̶w̶Chokemaster. I have proven this as I did a direct swap from Chokemaster to Magnaflow, while making no other changes. My mileage improved by about 15%, zero to sixty time by 25%. The second benefit is Magnaflow uses mineral wool as a sound deadener. This has two advantages over fiberglass. First, it is more dense, so the sound absorption is much more uniform. Secondly, mineral wool is much more heat tolerant - they use it for fire isolation in build construction. As for sound, it gives a nice gentle rumble at moderate throttle positions, and at WOT, it does talk to you, as you would expect a performance muffler to sound. It also does not drone inside the vehicle at any RPM. You really don't hear much exhaust inside the vehicle unless the windows are open. It tells you it can, but doesn't need to boast. Perfect for a sporting daily driver.

Sounds awesome on my 500hp Cammed fbo LS silverado! Like the straight through design so there is minimal to no power loss compare to chambered mufflers that choke your engine... hasn't blown the packing out as the cheap one do and sounds better overtime. They can be a bit quiet for the first 500 miles or so but wakes up after seasoning. It welded in good and is mellow while cruising and growls when you're in it. The quality was spot on as I've been running these for years and had about 8 so far. Can't go wrong with magnaflow! Get one, you won't regret it and the price is great!
