So Inexpensive Yet High Quality ... And It Works ...UPDATE
Years ago after taking an MRI of the knees, I learned that I had torn menisci in both knees.... not a good report for an avid "senior" basketball player. But a friend of mine recommended to me that I try knee straps from Shock Doctor. And amazingly, those knee straps really helped and all the pain in my knees miraculously disappeared. But the Shock doctor knee straps attached to my knee, in two places, with what can only be described as inferior quality velcro. After using for less than one month, each of my Shock Doctor knee straps had velcro which no longer would keep the knee strap tight and in securely in place below my knee cap. In fact as the velcro loses its grip, the strap partially comes off and the strap becomes very uncomfortable to wear. And at over $15 a piece this was getting to be an extensive proposition. So looking at alternatives on amazon, I chanced upon this Mueller knee strap which connected with velcro on only one side. At first I thought this would be naturally less effective than the Shock Doctor product, but because of the low price, 3 for about $16, I convinced myself that it was worth a shot. And so I bought the Mueller and immediately found that the strap was 1) easier to put on, 2) more comfortable, and 3), after using now for over two months, my Mueller straps show no sign of becoming loose. And best of all, this product to me is even more effective in making my knees feeling great than the Shock Doctor product. Five stars to Mueller for this product I will continue to buy for myself, and also buy as gifts to my fellow basketball friends. At a little more than $5 dollars each when you buy this in a 3-pack, this is a real bargain. And now at 67 years old, the Mueller knee strap allows me to continue to play without pain or problems. thank you Mueller, you help me to feel like a kid. UPDATE May 18, 2018. It has been over a year since I first reviewed this product and basically I still feel the same way about these straps as I did then. However, you should know, that the velcro does wear out, and the straps, after about a year, should be replaced. but for only $5 per strap, getting a years worth of knee protection is MORE THAN WORTH IT.... so I continue to rate this as 5 STARS. By the way, I am now 69 years old, about to turn 70 and I am still playing full court basketball, without knee pain. Yes, I swear by these straps.

I am pleased, it seems to have releived my knee pain from trail running
I had knee pain from running that came on after months of consistent but moderate running without previous issue. I tried time off, reduced running, new shoes, running form... but it just wouldn't go away. It was a sharp, hot feeling on the outer side below the knee cap. My knee got so bad that a quick little run across a parking lot would fire it up. After several months of taking it easy and trying other things, I'd seen my kids friends wearing these type of bands so I though what the heck and tried it. I found relief pretty much the first time I used this band. Before wearing the band, I could not make it around my 2 mile track without my knee forcing me to walk a time or two due to the sharp pain. On my first run with the band, the knee pain was reduced to a level that I sensed the pain was near but it never kicked in. After several runs the pain was gone and I could make a full lap without any discomfort. I tried a lap without the band and it felt like my knee was about to fire up so about half way in I put the band back on and have been running a few weeks since using the band without any knee issues. I don't have any discomfort in daily activities anymore either. I can't say for sure what the innitial problem was or if this band was the cure but it sure seems like this band was a huge help to me. For the record, I'm a 150 lb. middle age male, I run about 2 miles 2-3 times a week. I've been checked at the local running store for form and I don't pronate or have other "bad" form such as heal stomping. I wear generic reebok/nike trial running shoes without any type of inserts. I'm very happy I tried this band. The quality seems good and it's over all comfortable. I'm a fairly small build and it fits me great, it would easily fit some one slightly smaller than me and has lots of adjustment for larger legs. I don't care much for the huge logo the printed on there but...whatever, I could black it out with a pen if it really mattered.

Average runner with sensitive knees running on pavement
I am run every other day for at least 4 miles. For the early part of my run, I feel weakness and/or tenderness around my knees. This is especially so when running on pavement. When I can I run trails to reduce the impact on my knees. Otherwise, these knee straps do the job, on or off pavement. As a first-time user, I give them 4-stars. They hug well to my leg and allows blood to circulate normally. The first time putting them on is the worst. Because they use Velcro, you have to feel the right tightness around the leg (first-world problems). Once you adjust the strap tightness a few times, it will come naturally where and how you want to wrap it around your leg. While running, the knee strap is comfortable. I do feel some sliding while I run though. In reality, it is... but only slightly. The sliding is created by the bend in the back of your knee. That bend will push the support down to the end of the bend. Fortunately, that slight drop does NOT affect the support it provides. You can honestly run with the strap as is so long it touches the patella. If it does manage to slide off, you should consider tightening it more. Other types of support to consider: basic compression pants. I ran with them underneath my runner's shorts for my last 10k race. They worked very well. Basic compression pants do not retain a lot of heat; provide additional support throughout the entire leg; promotes blood circulation; and just feels amazing (if you can bear the compression feel; feels snug to me). Any brand will do. I have the Nike Pro Combat basic compression shorts for ~$30. Overall, I am satisfied. Four-stars for effective knee support for running on or off pavement.

Lavabile, elastica, perfetta. Unica raccomandazione è di non abusarne, se il dolore persiste meglio farsi vedere da un dottore.

This little jewel is the best remedy that I have found for stopping knee pain while playing sport. It is small but can do a lot in terms of providing support to the knee patella. The material is good and sturdy, and overall it is very comfortable to wear.
