Prep & cook this lasagna in less than an hour
Barilla oven ready lasagna noodles are the way to go. Remember cooking with Nonna as kids because making lasagna was a project. We laid out the old fashion noodles out on towels to dry. Tried really hard not to tear them and hoped they wouldn't stick to the towels. But there were always noodle casualties. LolThese ready to use lasagna noodles are short but don't be fooled! They absorb the sauce & liquids and expand. Use a lightly greased 13x 9 inch pan. There will be space on the sides even once completed. But it makes cutting & serving so much easier.Lasagna varieties are limitless. Last night I made a veggie lasagna with spinach, riced cauliflower and zucchini. Made a homemade butternut squash Alfredo sauce. Drain the ricotta and mix ricotta with 2 beaten eggs ( extra protein) and fresh parmesan, garlic powder, basil, salt, pepper & parsley. ( Ricotta alone is very plain)Cooks tips. Sliced cheese is less expensive and doesn't contain additives like pre shredded cheeseIn lasagna it makes layering much easier and even.Soft vegetables can be mashed or minced. They will disappear under the cheese & sauce. Great way to get the kids to eat 3-4 servings of veggies.Seafood pasta is an excellent choice for adults while teen boys tend to prefer meatier versions.Ground chicken or turkey can be used in lieu of red meat & part slim cheeses work just as well. It is possibly to create a heart healthier lasagnaLasagna is great reheated the next day. Just keep extra sauce on hand. Bon Appetito!

Best product!!!
I decided to try the ready made because I hate the task of boiling pasta correctly in water. It’s a hassle to me and I never get it right, so when I saw these I was like yes my prayers have been answered. I had been craving a lasagna, so I tried these. You literally layer them in the pan with your sauce and cheeses and put in the oven. The perfection on the cook is crazy. I wondered if they would be watery or mushy, but the crispness stayed the same. The lasagna was so good and perfect. I will be using these from here on out!!

Make's making lasagna easier
This works best if you put the lasagna sheets into warm water with a little olive oil in it for ten minutes. They don't get soggy and absorb too much sauce, and they bend easily instead of breaking when a smaller piece need to be fitted on one of the layers in the lasagna.

Ease of use.
A great product for making Lasagna without a lot of heavy pasta.No-boil means no prep, just use out of the package and successfully separate the layers of whatever kind of Lasagna you are preparing.

Honesty time— Don’t be Lazy!
If you love to cook— stick with Barilla’s original boiling style lasagne! I really wanted to love these, because the thought of being able to offer lasagne to my family more often is a PHENOMENAL idea. I mean lasagne is one of those meals that stands out as not only tasty comfort food, but you get extra points for spending so much time in the kitchen putting it together. The problem is, you only get those brownie points if the taste and presentation come out great. The no-bake noodle option just doesn’t do that. I’ve tried them multiple times and followed directions, as well as attempting to try things that might compensate for their less than perfect result, but it’s never as good as the boiled noodles version. First, the rippled edge of boiled noodles, really adds something to the appearance, but also the texture holds up better as you cut into the lasagne. Secondly— the texture of the no-boil is thin and its “mushy”, it just doesn’t hold up when you bite into it. I’ve tried less liquid in my sauce, and even using a second stacked layer of noodles, but neither made it hold up like the boiled noodles. At the end of the day, you want your lasagne to come out of the pan looking like a beautiful wall of layered meat sauce, cheese and noodles… not just a bowl of “mashed potato consistency Ragu”.If you really don't have the time to make traditional lasagne, opt for using a jar sauce and pre-shredded cheese— but don’t waste your money on “no-boil” lasagne noodles. As a 61yr old mom, who has been in plenty of Italian grandmother’s kitchens in my lifetime— I’m gonna tell you honestly: “Just Don’t Do It! “
