great buy, great electric baritone uke
fit and finish was perfect, good tuners, good electronics uses 9 volt battery. the only bad was cheap looking gigbag, but better than nothing. the strings were tuned wrong, need low D string but you need a extra set of strings anyway, strings break! great buy and great sounding ukulele.

Don't Do It!
I received this product poorly packaged--only the original wedge box, with no packing, and a very flimsy carry bag, which I threw away. There were no accessories, like the tuner that was suppose to come with it. The electronics did not work; you don't get a 9v battery as well. I tried everything to make the electronics work to no avail. Yes, I know what I'm doing. The strings are crap. I replaced them prior to finding out the electronics don't work. I think this was a returned item ( I can't prove it, I just know it's true!). I replaced it with a Caramel baritone, which came with all kinds of goodies, even a wall hangar, and extra strings which seem to be mighty good. Nice case, and an extra small case to keep things in. Much better product.

For guitar chord tuning of top 4 strings, need a different set of strings - & a padded case
I just received my bari uke and gave it a day to warm up to room temperature before I had a chance to tinker with it. It looks nice, well made for the price. The strings that come on the uke are meant for the traditional uke tuning, not the "top 4 strings of the guitar" uke tuning which is what I use for teaching students with small hands so that as they get older, it's easier to transition to the guitar. So if you're planning to use that guitar tuning, you'll need a new set of strings - to get one that'll accommodate the need for the lowest string to be a D. I agree with other users that the gig bag is "better than nothing"...just don't expect any protection at all, merely convenience for carrying. If you want some protection, you'll have to order a padded bag; if you want better protection, a hard case (the latter of which'll likely cost more than this uke) . I'll update & comment on sound after changing the strings & tuning to my desired tuning.

Meh with terrible strings.
The ukulele is fine. It came with terrible string strung in the wrong position. I returned it and the second one had the same issue. I went out and bought new strings which were way better and sounded pretty good. Aesthetic comment: it is stained but not varnished or lacquered. Huh….

check for battery connections
it looks ok but came with strings not used for a minny guitar. Theres is no top hookup for a battery, just two springs on the lower compartment which would indicate two batteries to be used. No size batteries would fit and if they would there's no wire or connection at the top I asked what to use and the answer was a 9 volt. The battery box doe's not support this and of course if you cannot connect the battery at the top- it is useless as an electric. The sound is ok so I'll just use it without amplification!

A great value for the price.
I got this for a "beater" but now it's my main baritone. I have an electric jazz baritone that was a special made instrument but unless I'm playing a gig, this is my every day instrument. I'm learning to play so I sight-read from my gig book with lead sheets so I'll notice buzzes which I had on the "B" string from the 2nd to the 4th fret. That would be the C#, D and Eb notes. I just loosened the string and put a tiny piece of duct tape on the bridge where the "B" string sits to raise it and no buzz. It took me a few days for the string to settle in and it now holds the tuning. The instrument came tuned with a high "D" string so I just replaced that string and all's good.

Well this is a baritone. Ok. But the d string in this is d high and you would miss that low frequency that you wish was there in this. Now when i want to check for strings in market they are expensive. The bag that comes with this is for name sake. It doesnt not have padding. Zero padding. Not great for someone who is starting to keep these instruments. Not satisfied.

the D string is thinner than all other strings. while it was supposed to be the thickest one. this manufacturing defect is unprofessional. because for a long time I was unaware of it. as a beginner I walked on a wrong path. it not a professional work done by the makers.

The strings provided with the Ukulele are like that of a tenor or concert uke, ie AECG, so you have to buy new strings, which are expensive. The build and sound quality are great!
