Does what it's supposed to
Works great to hold my handheld shower head. I've had no problems with it leaking or being loose. Great product! I've had it for about a month now.

It's okay but falls over.
This piece of hardware seemed fine when I took it out of the package, but once it was installed and I put the shower head in it it wouldn't stay up. The ball joint wouldn't keep the shower head where I wanted. When I turned the water on it seemed to stay ok, but still not what I expected.

Looks nice, functional, and easy to install
The maintenance team at our complex over-tightened and cracked this piece of my husband's very expensive shower head. Then, in a multi-day attempt to salvage it, they covered it in plumbing tape/fitting sealant, and scratched it up with their tools. By the time all was said and done, it still leaked, and in my husband's words, "looked like a bear had mauled it." Luckily, I was able to order this replacement part with same day shipping and install it myself on the first try, with no tools. I'm very pleased with the part. Less impressed with our maintenance team.

Good value, works well, keeps shower wand snugly in place
Nice replacement bathroom hardware. I like the rubber pad where a shower wand would be seated, which is larger and thicker than my previous shower arm mount. Only issue is that it's a little too thick; the shower wand does snugly fit, but just not all the way down into the bracket. Also this product is NOT all metal; the part that attaches to your shower pipe is, but the shower wand mount and hose connector part are both chromed plastic.

this has the appearance of a good shower mount
By all accounts, this has the appearance of a good shower mount. The problem is that there very little resistance in the ball joint, so consequently when the shower head is put in it, it just flops down, and there is no tensioning mechanism that I can detect. It's useless unless it can support a shower head.

Debris-screen washer problem; slight leak at ball-joint-swivel.
First of all, I must have a bad unit. Although this shower-mount has excellent reviews [and the reviews are credible] my particular unit leaks. Not a big deal; usually, I'd just return it [but at less than $10, it's at the point where the hassle of boxing it up, and the trip to the Post Office, and waiting in line, etc. might overcome my frugal nature...]. The reason I'm not using this shower mount is because it leaks ever-so-slightly at the "articulating-ball-joint-connector" section. This section is not adjustable; it cannot be "tightened," for example. It's been [supposedly] tested to function for several thousand cycles, and it probably does. But, my part was defective/leaked straight out-of-the-box; it's either luck of the draw, or quality control. Another problem is the debris-screen washer in the female end [that connects to the shower arm at the wall]. The metal screen came out of its plastic washer TWICE while I was installing/removing the shower mount--this prevented a good seal, resulting in a slight leak. I even tried using this washer WITHOUT the debris-screen, but still couldn't get a good seal. Finally, I replaced this junk washer with one from my parts bin, and finally got a good seal. That's when I saw that the ball-swivel-joint was leaking. The wife didn't think it was a big deal [there was only slight seepage]; but I removed the shower mount [again], and reinstalled the old unit, which wasn't bright and shiny--not like my new Purelux shower hose and new Waterpik shower head. But the old mount wasn't leaking anywhere.

Great. Would order again.
I bought this to pair with someone else's hand held shower head. Perfect fit, good quality, allows for more flexiblility in installation than the comparatively useless piece that came with the manufacturer's product.

This bracket is made out of metal and seems to be a lot more sturdy than the original
I knew from the beginning when I bought my showerhead I would eventually have to replace the bracket. They always make them out of plastic, because they want you to have to eventually replace it, or the entire shower head itself. This bracket is made out of metal and seems to be a lot more sturdy than the original. Hopefully it will last a lot longer and so far It has.
