Great addition to OCF set up
I bought this after my first AD600 fell over and broke. This is great because it takes away a lot of the weight off the top of your light stand (making it less apt to tip over), but still provides great light.Very easy to use and set up. Fits my Bowens mount softboxes with no problem. Definitely recommend if you don’t want all the weight for your larger strobes at the top of your light stand.

Must-have for low ceiling studio and on-location shooting
I have low ceilings in my photography studio along with a huge modifier which made everything super heavy and very deep. This is great as it allows me to get my light higher with the shallow head, and keep the weight of my strobe on the ground. This will also make on-location shoots easier as well since I won't need to worry about my light coming crashing down if my sand-bags fail and the stand tips over. I will likely be getting another for my second light. Highly recommend!

MUST HAVE accessory
When you don’t want 6+ pounds dangling off a light stand or painter’s pole- THIS product Reduces the weight by having ONLY the light head supported- HUGE reduction in weight, and using that weight LOWER to ground level, even as a counterweight! Makes booming heads MUCH easier.

Good but could be better
Product works but the majority of the item is either plastic or rubber. I do not recommend using the modeling light. If you use your light fir some time the heat will cause the plastic to melt near the connectors.

Must-have Accessory for Godox AD600/Flashpoint Xplor
The Godox AD600 (AKA Flashpoint Xplor) is a heavy monolight that could strain a boom or human arm with its weight. This handy extension head puts the bulb at the end of a cord long enough to hang the power pack either on a stand or even on the ground, or on an assistant's body, reducing the risk of anything toppling over or arms giving out under the strain. Once it's set up, which involves simply removing the bulb from the AD600 main unit and inserting it in the extension head, then plugging the cord into the main unit, the photographer can access all the functions of the AD600 as usual. This gives me the flexibility of using portable power that will last a long time when my setup calls for placing my main light on a boom stand. In fact, since the unit has a modeling light I can turn on/off from the wireless controller, it makes it preferable to hoisting a heavy studio strobe on a boom arm even when wall power is available. The only quibble I have is that the adjustment screw for tightening on a stand is on the flimsy side and does not inspire full confidence with a heavy modifier attached to the head, and I've had it loosen slightly, causing the modifier to rotate out of position. Otherwise, this is an ingenious, quality product I'm thankful to have, and I'm fairly certain Godox will introduce improvements before long.

Great for Xplor600 - Less weight above
This product really helps with taking a few pounds off of the top of your tripod or control arm, and allows for your flash to be much lower. This makes for less risk.

Love this thing
Perfect addition to the (insert brand here) 600 unit! You can use it on a boom arm without fear of something heavy and fragile falling, and you don't need much counterweight. Gives me piece of mind when used high on a light stand where I wouldn't want my larger Xplor 600 unit. It's said that you lose a stop of light with it. I can't say because I've been using TTL and I have had no issues whatsoever. Nice 9" cord that locks into the unit well.I highly recommend it. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the swivel adjustment handle that takes getting used to (not a big deal). 4.5 stars from me.

Great addition
When I got a feel for how heavy the Godox (Adorama Flashpoint) AD600 head is, I knew I didn't want it at the top of my light stands. This extension head works great and is far less fussy in use than you might thing.
