Bauer Hockey-Helmets Helm 5100

I bought this helmet and a Oakley visor from AMAZON about 4 months ago and I'm happy with this helmet. It's not the most costly helmet but it gets the job done. I took a spill where I fell over another player behind me and I hit the back of my head pretty hard on the rink. This helmet kept my melon together so, I was able to get up and kept on playing my shift. If your not looking to spend a huge amount of money on a helmet and your looking for good protection buy this one.

I had done my sizing on another site before coming here, to ensure the helmet would fit my big melon. I was a little disappointed that the ear guards feel terrible when they are on, so I had to remove them. Other than that, it seems like a good, sturdy helmet.

I have a big head and have had a very hard time finding a bicycle helmet that fits properly. I was watching "Failure to Launch" the other day and noticed Bradly Cooper's character wearing a Jofa hockey helmet in the mountain biking scene. It gave me the idea of looking for a XL hockey helmet that I could use for bike riding and I came across this helmet. The fit is perfect (very adjustable) and it offers better head coverage than a traditional bicycle helmet in my opinion. I haven't used it on a ride yet so I will update this post with any pertinent information resulting from my first ride.

Great helmet and price point. Using for Box Lacrosse and took a hard shot on the side of the head. Helmet performed really well and gave me a lot of confidence in it's protection capabilities.

I took a chance buying this helmet online. Unfortunately it was much flimsier and cheaper than I expected and very disappointing for a Bauer product. Part of the interior padding had already come loose. In addition, the ear guards are indented in an odd way that I've never seen before, to the point toward the back where they made contact and pushed against my ears. I returned for a full refund, but it cost me $16.50 to ship back. Lesson learned.

Love this helmet. Adjustable without the need for a screwdriver. Took the buttend of a stick to the forehead. Didn't feel a thing. Great protection.

Great helmet! Took a hard fall first time I wore it, banged my head on the ice and was amazed I had no issues!

Great product and fast shipping. Like how easy it is to adjust. Bauer is a great company.

This is the second 5100 I've purchased, so that's a strong recommendation, this one for less than half the cost of the first 2 years ago. Usual Bauer quality but beware internal helmet screws and visor screws do corrode and the helmet strap clips do fail if left in a soggy kit bag, but that's the case for all hockey helmets.

I really love the helmet and Bauer designs are fantastic but unfortunately the strap pop button snapped after only 5 uses, and coincidentally after the return period, annoyed as there is now no option for a return or refund, i will be sending out an email to Amazon in hopes of some help because £80 for helmet to break within 6 weeks is ridiculous!
