This is an excellent mat! Very glad we purchased it. We did the obligatory research and kept coming back to this mat. Don't let the number of reviews fool you. This mat delivers. It is thick and works well on our tiled floors. We use it in our home gym, which is a former office. Works well for floor exercises, provides a cushion when doing weight lifting, and we even have placed our workout bench on it. No complaints. Would definitely buy it again!

Just the perfect size to position under my pull up bar. Mine came also with a nice towel. My back was injured in the past. It helps when doing floor work.

I'm really liking the size of the mat. My yoga mat is cushioned but not wide enough for HIIT exercises or anything where you expand your body wide. I like that I can do planks and side plank variations with leg movement without worrying about whether both my hands and feet will stay on the mat or slide off. Also glad not to use the hard floor which I was doing before becuase my yoga mat would slide around. The blue underside grips the floor really well and I am not afraid that it is going to slip out from under me. It is a decent thickness without being too mushy underfoot. I thought it was kind of a lot of money for a mat but it turns out to be worth every penny. I may even order a larger size for later in my other room. Great purchase!

This mat is great. I DOES NOT move and is enough cushion to not need a yoga mat over it to protect your knees. I have had one for about 4 years and it has help up great through all my work outs and I just ordered a second one

The thickness is great and it seems well made. The whole reason I bought this is because it looked big enough for two people to be on it. It is definitely not big enough for that. Also, It is pretty heavy so I wouldn't recommend getting this to bring to places with you. This mat does seem like a good mat for one person at home.

The Sensu Large Exercise Mat is nicely padded, and it stays in place during my cardio exercises. There was a dime-sized light white stain on one end of the mat by the Sensu logo, but it does not affect the use of the mat. I like the large towel, the two sturdy Velcro straps to hold my mat, and the nice big bag to store it as well. I would definitely recommend this mat to others.

I use this mat on top of a hard floor for plyometrics, strength training, yoga, pilates, and kickboxing. It stays put and absorbs shock well. The only time I wish it was softer is when I do side planks/hip-raises but I just stick a folded towel under my elbow and it's fine, also for back bows, I need a little extra custion under my pelvis, so I just use a towel. Any other yoga, stretches, core work, etc, it's plenty comfortable. Sometimes my dog gets on it and I can easily sweep off the dog hair or dirt he gets on it. I've been using it several times a week for over a month and it's holding up great and still seems new. I like that it's soft enough to do floor work on but firm enough for balance work. I was concerned that it might not be big enough but it's perfect.

This arrived in great condition and as advertised - no odour and it unrolled flat on my hardwood floor. I have not rolled it up since unpacking as I use it daily for stretching and light movement work. This is a pricey item, but it's cheaper than some of the big name brands. I have no regrets as the quality is very good/durable. I have not felt like I would slip on it, though I am not heavily sweating on it. It's easy to vacuum and to clean. The 8.5mm thickness provides excellent padding for me (no discomfort when kneeling), yet it's not soft (as in it's not a sink-into-it padding), making it an effective mat for balance work. Placing heavier items on it will cause an indent, but within minutes, the mat springs back. I got the smallest size (6x4) because that's essentially the amount of space I have, but if I were lucky enough to have a larger space, I would not hesitate to get a larger mat based on my experience with it (I've now been using it for 1.5 months). I enjoy the mat so much that I find myself sitting on it casually, like if I want to sit on the floor instead of an a chair to be able to stretch my hips and legs more. That little bit of padding makes a huge difference. And leaving my mat unrolled is a constant reminder that I should move around (vs being glued to my desk). My mat is in a high-traffic spot in my house, so I have to walk over it all the time. As soon as my foot steps onto it, I'll stop for 5 minutes to do a stretch before going back to my desk.

I have just received my Sense large exercise Mat and I’m very happy with the quality, presentation and feel of the mat. It’s density gives the support without the bulk and is sturdy at the same time. I’m very happy with it thank you.

Setting up a yoga room in my home and wanted a mat that was deep/thick and durable, one that would not move during my sessions with yoga/work outs and one that was large enough for moving around....this mat has it all!!! As I opened the tightly rolled package, it immediately lay FLAT on the floor, no curving or time to settle..BAM, was flat and stays in place. Also there was no off gassing smell (something I definately did not want to have). The mat itself is very firm but gives my knees/hands (in yoga) plenty of support. I would have no hesitation using it for weight training (which eventually I intend to do). I've used my higher quality mat for a number of months now and truly happy with this purchase!! Very pleased and would not hesitate to purchase again.

I bought the 6'x4' Sensu Large Exercise Mat for my HiiT and VR workouts, to replace some cheap foam tiles which moved around too much and weakened after a few weeks' use. I wish I would have just bought the Sensu mat first. It's the perfect size for HiiT workouts and foam rolling, and it does not budge during aggressive movement. It's thick enough to provide adequate cushion with hard flooring. As soon as the mat arrived, I could tell it was a well made product, intended to last for a long time. A large and very nice terry cloth to wipe and maintain your mat is included as a courtesy, as well as a sturdy carry case with excellent quality velcro ties. Speaking as someone who just moved, if you ever need to move, you'll be glad to have that! I would not hesitate to recommend this product. If you are sensitive to smell, expect to lay your mat down for an afternoon to off-gas scent, and to run the terry cloth through the wash. This is normal with unpacking any rug or mat. Let it breathe in a room you won't be using for the afternoon, or overnight.
